"So you're saying that, that thing i just killed, was one of many, and it happened to be as weak as baby's neck?!"
"Not exactly the way I'd put it, but yes," the mysterious figure replied as he took a sip of his coffee. He licked off the coffee froth that remained on his raspberry lips that glowed in comparison to his pale face. "If you like numbers, he was about a point 5 on a scale of one to one thousand. Recently encounter Creaturae have been about ten thousand, give or take a hundred." We had both since moved to a nearby cafe for the reason that it was 'safer around other people', and that there was 'more chance they'd get killed than you'. Although i didn't yet trust this man, i did like his way of thinking. "So do you want to explain to me how you learned to resist complete control?"
"Do you want to explain me why you were stalking me?" I said, poring the forth packet of sugar into my hot chocolate. The man stared at my cup, shocked. He opened his mouth as if were going to question me on my drink, but quickly closed it and moved his eyes to mine. To say his eyes were blue was like saying a storm was powerful, descriptive, yet not enough to describe the destruction.
"I wasn't exactly, it wasn't stalking so to say," he defended himself, ruffling his black hair that hung over his eyes. "I was just.." His words were cut off.
"Stalking. But why?"
"We have had our eyes on you for qui.."
"WE?!"
"If you would let me finish. We heard about the Scarlett Assassin many times. Vampire killings, zombie disposals, werewolf deaths. Let's just say we've heard a lot about you. Its seems that you're feared greatly in the underworld."
"Underworld? You've got to be fucking kidding me." I swear this guy just escaped for a mental asylum or something.
"Yes, underworld. How do you not know about that?" I took a sip from my hot chocolate then immediately spat it out.
"Oh, that is bloody aweful!"
"What, too sweet?" He smirked as he wiped off the drink that covered his face.
"Nah, not enough sugar." I replied, pouring another packet in my cup. "Okay you still haven't explained why you were stalking me?"
"I was investigating you because i wanted to see if you could really defeat a Creaturae."
"How did you know i was killing one?"
"I may have hired you.."
"Ah.."
"Anyway, more to the point. We want you to drop being the Scarlett Assassin and become a Gilded Assassin."
"No." I said bluntly as i stirred my drink.
"You haven't even let me explain!"
"You dont need too explain. I work alone." I said as I grabbed my jacket and began to leave. The man reached for my arm before i could go.
"Please. Sit down and let me finish."
"No. I don't know your name, nor do i trust you."
"Its Demetrius. Now, if you would just sit down.."
I shook my head, "it was nice to meet you, Demitrius. Now if you would excuse me." I pulled my arm from his grasp and left.
"You're making a mistake!" He called out behind me, but it was already too late, i was gone.

Dammit, Demetrius thought as he pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
"Hello?" Said the man on the other end of the line.
"You were right."
