Be Quiet

Makoto looked down at the girl who was currently sleeping with her head on his shoulder. He and his best friend Kyoko Kirigiri had been hanging out and watching a movie together in the Hope's Peak dorm common room when she had fallen asleep. Makoto didn't mind the fact that her head was laying on his shoulder one bit. Although he wouldn't admit it, he thought it was really cute. It wasn't really a national secret that Makoto liked her. Even Kyoko had her suspicions but pushed them aside for reasons only she knew.

Makoto was also relieved that she was finally getting some sleep. He knew that she wasn't getting a lot of it lately because of her detective work and school. So, for those two reasons, he didn't mind it at all.

Everything was quiet and peaceful for a while until a certain classmate of his walked in. Aoi Asahina practically bounced into the room, donut in hand, and smiled when she saw him.

"Heyo Mako-" Aoi stopped mid-sentence when she saw Kyoko, a teasing smirk appearing on her face.

Makoto's eyes widened a bit as he slightly shook his head, trying to get Aoi to stop before she got any ideas. But it came to no avail.

"Ohhhhh. Makoto you casanova," she said teasingly.

"Shhh. Kiri's sleeping, and she has barely gotten any sleep lately," he quietly told her, both wanting to change the subject and not wanting Kyoko to get woken up.

"Fineee," Aoi said, knowing she would just relentlessly tease him about it later.

There were only a few more moments of peace before a group of their classmates walked in. The group included Taka, Byakuya, Hiro, Mondo, and Celeste. An odd group if you asked Makoto.

The second Taka saw Kyoko sleeping, he went into hall monitor mode.

"There is no sleeping in a school environment!-" Taka exclaimed.

Before Taka could be any louder, Mondo dragged him out of the room. Mondo had decided that he did not want to deal with a pissed off detective.

Makoto quietly sighed in relief before realizing that his other classmates were still there. He looked up to see Byakuya snickering about something and Celeste rolling her eyes. Hiro opened his mouth to say something but before he could Aoi shoved them all out of the room.

"Out. Get out. Leave them alone" She told them before quietly shutting the door behind them.

"Thanks Aoi," Makoto said quietly, relieved that the mess was over.

"No problemo Makoto. I'm gonna leave too. Just don't do anything stupid or else I will end you," Aoi threatened with an innocent smile, followed by her taking a particularly violent bite of her donut.

Makoto gulped before nodding and giving her a thumbs up with his free hand. Satisfied with that, Aoi skipped out of the room.

Makoto sighed as he looked down at Kyoko. He was relieved to see that she was still out cold. He froze when he felt her move. But it was only Kyoko nuzzling her face a tad bit into his shoulder. Makoto relaxed but was now a total tomato. He really did want to tell her how he felt, but in his mind, there was no way that someone as amazing as her would ever like him back. But he was just glad to have her in his life. Even if she stayed just his best friend for the rest of their lives, that was good enough for him.

He decided that he was feeling the tiniest bit bold and lightly rested his head on top of hers. He smiled slightly to himself when Kyoko didn't seem to mind.

An hour or so later, Aoi peeked in the door to check on them. She smiled when she saw that Makoto had fallen asleep too. She shook her head at the two oblivious idiots that were obviously in love with each other before taking a picture and sneaking back out.

Hello guys! Sorry for not updating in forever. Sadly I have a life. I am hoping to get at least one more oneshot out before winter break is over. And also sorry for how short this oneshot is. I have been having such bad writer's block lately. Does anybody have any oneshot ideas? If so, please comment them. Also, sorry for the very late message, but Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
