Eliana had decided to head to the Bakery one afternoon to have lunch with Alfie. She walked into his office to see that he wasn't there. Instead, a very pretty young woman was seated behind a small desk in the corner of the room. The girl stood as Eliana entered the room.
"Good Morning Miss, Mr. Solomons isn't available. Can I help you?"
Eliana assessed the young woman, then gave her a pretend smile.
"Oh, how silly of me. Perhaps I'll come back another time. I don't suppose you've seen his wife around?"
The young woman frowned. "Mr. Solomons is married?"
Eliana's blood pressure went up, but she continued her charade. "Might I know your name?"
"My name is Millie, I'm Mr. Solomons' secretary."
"Millie, what sort of name is that? Are you a gentile?"
"No, I'm Jewish." Millie said.
"Are you married?"
"I turned twenty-two this month, I hope to be very soon." Millie said.
She seemed confused by the line of questioning.
"Ah, well, best of luck to you Millie. Good day," Eliana said.
Eliana turned abruptly and went to find and perhaps kill her husband. She made her way into the warehouse and saw Ollie standing outside a door. Inside the room, it sounded like someone was being beaten.
"Is he in there?" Eliana asked.
"Well, yeah...but..." Ollie tried to say.
She brushed past him and opened the door. Alfie had his sleeves rolled up, wearing brass knuckles, with hands bloodied. He had been beating a man whose facial features were now distorted by blood and swelling.
"Fuckin' hell, Eliana, what are you doing here?"
"Does this man deserve what you're doing to him?" She asked, pointing at the man tied up in the chair before Alfie.
"Yeah," Alfie said, he bent down to be eye level with the man. "You were fuckin' stealing from me weren't you," He said, then smashed the man in the face once more.
"I need to speak with you, I think he gets the point."
Alfie lumbered out of the room to a wash bucket set up for him in the hallway. He took off the brass knuckles and threw them to Ollie. Ollie instinctively caught them, but made a face when the bloodied object landed in his hands. Alfie dunked his hands into the bucket and began to rinse.
"Why do you have Millie?" She asked.
Alfie frowned. "Who?"
"Your new secretary?" Eliana pushed.
Alfie's eyes flashed recognition.
"Right, yeah. Well her father and mum are friends with my cousin Caleb. Asked if there was any work for her."
"And you thought a pretty young woman should be placed as your secretary?"
Alfie chuckled. "Are you jealous?"
"You neglected to tell her that you have a wife, "he said.
"She just started, love. Does she need to know everything about my life in two days? Perhaps I'll tell her I enjoy fucking my wife on my desk." he said chuckling as he grabbed a towel to dry his hands.
Eliana's cheeks flushed. They've done it on his desk on three separate occasions during his lunch hour. For some reason it really made her randy to have him bend her over his desk and give it to her hard. She always felt guilty after it though, as she was certain Ollie had heard them at least once.
