On gently dabbed away the smeared blood in his father's wings together with Hong, as Raon kept counting the hours Cale was unconscious.

"Five hours, thirty minutes, forty nine seconds...fifty...fifty one...fifty two..."

'Don't tell anyone about this.'

They all recalled what Cale had warned them earlier as the statement alone could already give the children helplessness and despair once again.

"Youngest, can you lift Cale to sit nya? We need to clean the base of his wings."

There were no words said by the dragon as Raon used magic to help Cale sit up without any support.

Both cat children couldn't help but tremble at the gory sight of their father's back where the wings were attached. It was all covered in blood, but they could see the torn skin and jumbled flesh in Cale's back. Heck, they could even see the bones of the wings and the bruises scattered all over the redhead's spine.

Before the three could look anymore further, they heard their father figure grunt as he seems to be waking up now from his slumber.

"How long was I out for?"

It was the first thing he asked which infuriated Raon, but he answered nonetheless.

"Almost six hours human."

The redhead grunted once again as he peeked at the source of pain in his back. Sure enough, the two basal pair of wings were bleeding continuously as it hadn't healed itself yet. Cale could only frown at the emotions he received from the children looking at his hideous back.

"Cale nya. Youngest kept trying to heal you earlier but it won't take effect."

"I thought you have a recovery ancient power nya?"

"Human...tell me it would heal. You can't die...or I'll destroy everythingㅡ"

Raon stopped his sentence when he felt a familiar warm hand patting his head. It was the same for On and Hong but instead of a hand, the tip from both of Cale's wings were brushing themselves to their faces.

"Raon...did you know?"

"Know what human?"

Cale took his time to form the words carefully then sighed deeply, before telling them half the truth.

Because there was no lying to his sharp children and sooner or later, the people who is important to him will know about his divinity anyway.

A record suddenly resurfaced in his mind as he tried his best to forget it or have his attention anywhere but the haunting memory.

Cale stood idly in front of the people he had grown attached to as the pair spread freely behind him.

It was the first time they had realized and known him being a God. He thought it would be fine to tell them. They accepted him despite him a higher being than them.

He just didn't expected that there would be someone cautious enough in eavesdropping and give the information to the hunters.

Everyone paid the price by their lives because of it.

Cale plucked out a few feathers as he gave each to the three.

"Place the feathers in my wounds then after several seconds when you feel it closing, let go."

The children scurried to place the soft feathers as they were surprised when the wounds started to heal. Nothing was left but the leftover blood that trickled as On hurriedly wiped it away.
