"because you're a jinx! do you hear me?! mylo was right!"

the quiet alleyway echoed as the noise reverberated off the cracked walls of buildings. the sound of clanking and heavy footsteps soon filled the alleyway as a tall lanky figure sauntered through the clutter.

"tch" was heard following a short lived chortle. "stupid vi!" the figure shouted before kicking a can that lay lying on the filth covered street before it collided with the foot of another person.

"what's got you screaming?" the figure spoke before taking a drag from the cigarette hanging loosely between their lips.

"piss off sevika.." the figure grumbled before leaning back against one of the walls. a huff left the figures lips, causing the fringe hanging in front of their eye to jolt with the sudden action.

"tch.. still in your bratty mood huh jinx?" sevika asked as she crossed her arms and looked down at her feet, lightly tapping the can now disregarded.

"thought i said to piss off? i'm already angry and- SHUT UP IM TALKING!" jinx spat before she turned her head sharply to the left and screamed.

sevika sighed as she put out her cigarette, smushing it beneath her foot. "silco's looking for you. trust me, i wouldn't come searching for you on my own free will."

upon hearing silco's name, jinx slouched and looked down, her eyes softening for a moment before becoming stone cold yet again.

"to hell with silco." she spoke, crossing her arms and walking toward sevika. "and to hell with you too." she spat before looking up at the taller female just before the two were engulfed in a could of pink smoke.

sevika coughed and fanned her face to clear the smoke. once she was able to see through the remaining thin layer of smoke, she noticed she was now alone. only her and the remains of a grenade in the alleyway.

-

jinx sat at her workbench tinkering with her newest finds. she hummed as she pulled her goggles over her eyes and turned up her music, wanting to completely block out all noise.

she hummed as she bobbed her head to the beat, grabbing tools and throwing pieces of tin and metal here and there.

"wanna join me, come and play~ but i might shoot you in your face!" she screamed, laughing maniacally  as she swiveled on her stool and threw a knife, watching at it landed right on the target that happened to be an exact replica of someone she hated more than the topsiders.

hell, they were practically a topsider.

"it's such pathetic neatness. but not for long 'cause it'll get jinxed~ ain't that right vi? i'm just a fucking jinx!" she shouted, standing abruptly causing her stool to topple over.

"jinx!" a voice shouted as the music quickly cut off.

jinx turned, pulling her pistol out of her holster and aiming it directly at whoever thought it would be smart to disturb her.

with a glare, she cocked the pistol as her eyes never left those piercing back at her.

"put the gun down jinx..where have you been? i sent sevika to look for you." the person said as he gently pushed down the barrel of the gun.

jinx rolled her eyes as she let out a huff. she picked up her stool and sat down, pulling her goggles off and tossing them somewhere on the workbench.

"yeah, i know. i'm avoiding you for a reason." she spat, looking up through her fringe. "what? you just gonna yell at me? you could've had sevika just do it." she muttered turning around and gathering her freshly made grenades off the workbench.

silco sighed and rubbed his head before walking over and placing his hand on jinx's shoulder. "we need to talk." he said softly, trying to keep jinx calm and relaxed.

"talk then." she spoke as she grabbed a crayon, doodling on her grenades. jinx hummed as a smile came to her face as she glanced at silco. "you gonna start or what?" she asked, now giving a playful attitude.

"your sister's back."

jinx's smile instantly dropped along with her movements. she sat frozen, her hands cleaning around the device and the pink crayon while her eyes stayed trained on the table top.

"jinx, don't-"

"shut up.."

"what? i can't hear you mumbling."

"I SAID SHUT UP!" jinx screamed, standing up and pulling her pistol, aiming it right at silco's head as she glared, her breathing ragged and her face red with anger.

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!!" she screamed, pulling the pistol away and firing a shot into the air before turning and shooting the target over and over until the image was nothing but bullet casings and holes.

jinx huffed, her chest rising and falling quickly before she turned and glared at silco. she turned, slowly sauntering over to him as she giggled.

"so you're telling me..she of all people are back in the undercity?" jinx asked as she looked up at silco, her eye twitching slightly before her eyes flickered just behind silco where she saw her sister leaning against the door frame with a smug grin on her face.

jinx jerked her head, trying to get rid of the hallucination before looking at silco again.

"i've been told she's back..and with an enforcer." silco said as he gently placed his hands on her shoulders. "they're not here for you jinx, she abandoned you she would never come back looking for you."

jinx blinked once, twice, three times as she visibly calmed down. she nodded taking a deep breath before slowly resting her head against silco's chest. "i'm your family jinx. all we need are each other."

-

vi leaned against the wall as she wrapped her fists, a nervous habit she picked up when she was in stillwater. she sighed as she listened in on the conversation happening just a few feet away from her.

"silco baby's her. he lets her get away with everything."

"why does he let her come along? she's just a jinx."

vi stopped what she was doing and furrowed her brows. she lifted her hood over her head and began to walk past the two.

as she passed by them, something caught her eye, causing vi to turn and glance. the object being the last drop..illuminated in neon lights and guarded by..guards?

"what the fuck?" vi murmured as she turned, her full attention now on the building. just as she took a step toward the building, a whiz of blue hair caught her attention causing vi to quickly turn in the direction of the blue blur.

"powder?" vi called out softly. her features softened as she called out again, her voice breaking. "powder.." just as vi stepped forward her attention was yet again snatched by the sudden screams and threats by a drunken man being thrown out of the last drop.

vi looked at the scene and noticed the man being thrown out by sevika. vi scoffed, crossing her arms as she shook her head. "of course silco has the ogre working for him."

"ogre?" a voice called out, causing vi to turn and hum. "sevika, she's just a big fucking ogre." vi said before shaking her head and walking off. "c'mon cupcake, we gotta find this damn bastard." vi called as she walked away, going to the deeper parts of the undercity.
