Trevor's P.O.V

It had been three whole days of subtle walking. Not much has happened so I'll keep it simple. We had to abandon the train when the tracks began to leave the vicinity of the road. For the past day-and-a-half it's been practically nonstop walking and camping for the night only with the occasional food and bathroom breaks which wasn't easy considering it meant I had to venture into whatever buildings that had food available. Another thing that jeopardized our mission was, since we caused multiple car accidents during our fiasco back at Glenwood Springs, law enforcement had increased ten-fold which meant trying to negate them was even more difficult. Thankfully, about 12 hours ago, we found ourselves passing the Utah border. At that point however, the terrain became rockier, dryer, and much, much hotter almost to the point that walking felt like a detriment. We still pushed on.

"How-a much further." Luigi whined.

"According to the map we should be nearing Hilgard Mountain which shouldn't be as hot." I wheezed from my parched mouth.

"Good, I'm really getting tired of this heat." Guzma groaned.

"I don't understand. Don't any of your Pokémon have water type moves?" I asked.

"The only water moves golisopod knows are liquidation and scald which aren't even good options." He retorted.

"Welp, that sucks." I deadpanned.

2 Hours Later

It was getting late, the sun was setting and the air was beginning to cool down which made the traveling more comfortable.

"Trevor, mate, me tummy been grumblin for some time, I haven't eaten in forever." Wallace said. It was true we all hadn't eaten in a long while, but there didn't seem to be any place that could...wait.

What was that in the distance? It looked kinda small but it was illuminated by neon signs that said diner. Well, there was my answer.

"Guys look there's a diner up ahead we can get food and rest there." I said pointing to where it was. That got everyone ecstatic so we all rushed them as fast as our feet could carry us. However, when we got there we were meant with a disappointing discovery.

THUNK

It was locked.

We all moaned and groaned in frustration, but I wasn't ready to give up. Thinking quickly, I pulled out my gun aimed at the lock and...

BANG

I tried to open the door again and this time it opened. The others looked at me with shock, I just rolled my eyes.

"This is probably our only option for another hundred miles so let's make it count." I declared. The others conversed amongst themselves but eventually agreed.

Once we were inside we were met with silence.

"I think this a-place is a-closed." Mario said.

"Ya think, why else would the door be locked?" Guzma said sarcastically.

Ignoring them, I walked up to the counter and assessing the situation.

"Well, I guess we're gonna have to take what we can get to." I once again declared.

"But what can we take? All the stuff here is gonna be frozen." Guzma said matter-of-factly. I did a double take, he was right it was diner which meant they served food freshly cooked but since it was closed there was no staff, and no staff meant we would have to cook the food ourselves. The I remembered.
