Trevor's POV.

I slowly make my way towards the glass doors; I can already see inside, dozens of other human-like creatures wearing the same uniform. I walk inside and immediately head to the equipment room which contained my bright orange hard helmet and an orange vest with black stripes, they used to be yellow but the team decided to change the color. I head on over to the bulletin to see what I was going to be doing today. "Huh, apparently the boss wants me and Terry to go to the meeting room." Terry was a very close friend, he had darker skin and was about in inch shorter than me and he was also more enthusiastic.

I made my way to the meeting room where Terry and my boss, who's name was Rob, were waiting. "Good morning you two." I say. "Hey if it isn't good old Trevor, how you doing man?" Terry says optimistically.

"Been doing great thanks, how about you."

"Oh it's been going, ever since I've been stuck with fixing the light poles at Oran Berry Avenue it's been quite slow,  but it's been going.

"Good to hear." I say in a neutral tone. "That's enough chit-chat you two." Boss Rob retorts. "Yes sir." Me and Terry say in unison, then I immediately take me seat.

"Now then, you two are being assigned to job code number seven I will hand you two the dimension code combinations to do research and advertise in said dimensions. Get prepared and head in over to the travel portal pods." And with that he handed out the papers and left. Both me and Terry look at each other, we were thinking the same thing. "new dimensions." Without a word we looked at our sheets of paper that were assigned to us. My number read dimension #1486 while Terry's read dimension #2282, we then strapped on our equipment belts which held our guns for self defense, a can of mace, a notepad and pen, a walkie talkie, and a special remote control that could create portals to travel to other dimensions. Terry dashed out the door rambling excitingly about the "new adventure." I'll admit myself it beats sitting in a maintenance truck watching for potential crooks such as Popple (Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga) or RJ (Over the Hedge).

Once I got over to the travel pods Terry had already taken Fictionopolis posters which meant I was stuck with the roadside signs. I grumbled, I hated carrying those things around, it was hard to see, hard to keep balance, and hard for my back; whatever I punch in the number on the controller and held it as a concentrated beam of energy shot out of the antennae then reincarnating itself into a bright pink and white wormhole-like portal. Before I picked up the signs however I thought to myself "Why exactly do we have to walk into unknown worlds and advertise this place. Don't get me wrong Fictionopolis is a wonderful place but this just feels and seems unnecessary. This place is diverse enough already, I mean how many people can say they became best friends with a Melmetal (Pokémon) or go out for coffee with the Super Mario Bros? Hardly anyone. I feel as if this, walking into undiscovered worlds is redundant and dangerous. But I suppose it's worth the risk."

Without any more reluctance I pick up the signs and walk into the portal. Suddenly there was nothing but just a white backdrop, that's what is between the portals, but why there are two wooden doors that look like they came from a old mansion from the 1930's is beyond me. I opened one of the doors which was difficult considering I was carry a heavy stack of signs, but somehow I manage to get it open. With great confidence, I walk on through into the world that lays behind those doors.
