I really couldn't believe what was happening. "Cam...I can't believe you came back for me!" I said giddily.
He laughed. "I would always come back for you. Hey, do you want to hang out at my house for just a while?"
I nodded. "Of course!" I said in a heartbeat.
How do you contain yourself when you finally find out who your secret admirer was? How do you keep your cool when you find out the guy who's been sending you daisies have been right there all along?

In Cam's backyard, we were laying in the grass cuddled in a blanket. Cam's arms were around me, my hands laid atop of his. My head was resting on his chest and his chin was on my shoulder. I felt so close to him all of a sudden.
The flowers and beautiful lights surrounded us. I couldn't tell you how romantic the moment was.
"Cam," I said in a low voice. "I can't believe you'd do this for me."
He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Well, I'd do anything for you."
I laughed and enjoyed the sight of the different flowers under the starry sky. "But, if you were in love with me, why didn't you just tell me?"
"Natalie, I have no guts," he said bluntly. "I would've told you sooner but, I guess things are better within time."
I hummed with the crickets. "Hey, Cam?"
Cam stood up and said, "Hold that thought."
I watched him run up to one of the corners and grab a flower. He came back and sat next to me.
He handed me a bright, red rose.
I looked down at the rose and up at him. I wrinkled my eyebrows. "I don't get you sometimes," I said with a giggle.
"How so?" he wrapped his arms around me.
I put the rose under my nose and took a deep breath. "Well, I don't know. First, you send me daisies and then give me roses and more daisies and roses. Can you make up your mind already?"
"What do you mean? With flowers?" I nodded. "Well, I love the variety of flowers. I can't choose my favorite. They all have their different kind of beauty. You know?"
I nodded and smiled. I flashed back to all the things that had happened in the past couple of days. Something just didn't seem right. The pieces still didn't match. Something, I couldn't put my finger on it, was still off.
"The letter," I said abruptly. "The letter you left for me on the bench. I don't get it."
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"The part of the letter that said, 'I'm never going to be a Cam. I'm just going to be me.' What was up with all the third person talk, anyway?"
He stared at me for a while. "What the heck are you talking about?"
I rolled my eyes and put the rose down. I took out the daisy and the letter rolled in my purse.
"See," I said and pointed to the part in the letter.
I watched his expression change. He looked puzzled. "Who wrote this letter?" he asked me.
I stopped myself. What the hell was happening?!
"Wait. I thought--you were--didn't you write this letter?" I asked, waving it in the air.
He stared at me blankly, and shook his head. "No, Natalie," he said with a straight face.
I pondered for the longest moment. What?!
"Aren't you my ‘secret admirer’?" I asked him, hoping and crossing my fingers that he'd say yes.
He shook his head slowly. "No," he said lowly. He pulled out a piece of paper out of his pocket and held it out to me. "And didn't you leave this on my front door?"
He held out the piece of paper that read in handwriting that looked really girly but wasn't mine:
Cam, meet me in the field behind Willow Street. I'll be waiting. -Natalie
I shook my head and stared for the longest time before looking up in Cam's eyes. "Cam, this isn't mine."
He just stared at me blankly, thinking I'll know who wrote it. He asked, "Well, if it isn't you then whose is it?"
