It was the end of the school day, and I was nervous as I walked up to my friend, Tobias. We had known each other for a while, and I planned to ask him to have a sleepover. I mean that was a normal friend thing to do, right? So I don't know why I felt so nervous...
"Ah, hello, Y/N," Tobias greeted as I approached him, gazing at me with his glacial blue eyes.
"H-hey, Tobias," I said. "Um, I was wondering if you'd, uh, maybe like to have a sleepover at my house this weekend?"
"It depends. What is this 'sleepover' thing you speak of?"
"It means you stay at my house overnight. It's, like, a thing that friends do," I explained.
"Oh. Well, I doubt that my father would let me attend such an event," Tobias said. "I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask, though."
"Oh, okay," I said, a little disappointed. "Well, lemme know if he says you can go."
"Of course. I'll tell you what he says tomorrow."

Timeskip

I tried to contain my excitement as I waited for Tobias to arrive. He had told me that, surprisingly enough, his parents said he could sleep over.
I was busy setting out snacks and picking movies for us to watch when I heard the doorbell ring.
I rushed to the door and opened it to greet my guest.
"Hey, Tobi," I said. "I'm so glad that you could make it, I'm still surprised that your parents let you come, to be honest."
"As am I," he agreed. "So. What are we supposed to do at this 'sleepover'?"
"Oh, there's a bunch of fun stuff! Here, why don't you come inside and I'll tell you."
"Alright." Tobias stepped inside and closed the door behind him, then followed me upstairs to my room.
"So, activities," I started. "As you can see, there's a variety of snacks to eat. We can also watch a movie."
"I've never watched a movie before," Tobias informed me.
"Really? Like, ever?"
"Yes, my father doesn't let us watch television."
"Oh, I see. Well I guess will have to pick a good movie if it's your first," I said, looking through Netflix for something to watch. I eventually found some rom-com that looked good. "How about this one?"
"What is it about?"
"A guy and a girl falling in love, I'd guess. Although I haven't watched it before."
"Hmm, interesting. Is romance a common theme in movies?" he asked.
"Yeah, I guess so. There are hundreds of these cheesy rom-coms. I like them though," I answered.
Finally, we actually watched the movie. Tobias was sort of confused by the plot but I explained the things he didn't understand.
When the movie was over we decided to play truth or dare, which I also had to explain to Tobias.
"What is the point of this game again?" he asked while he was in the middle of his latest dare, which was to try on one of my skirts.
"The point is that it's fun!" I told him.
"Our ideas of fun must be quite different then," Tobias said. "I feel that this is rather humiliating."
"Aww, come on. I think you look cute! Now come on, it's my turn, so ask me truth or dare."
"Okay. Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"So I'm supposed to ask you a question?"
"Yep," I confirmed.
"When am I allowed to take this off?" he asked.
"You're supposed to ask a good question, not one like that," I told him.
"But I want to know."
"Alright, fine. You can take it off whenever."
"Thank you." With that, he left the room to change back into his pants.
'I feel like Tobias still doesn't understand this game,' I thought.
He came back, holding the skirt.
"Is it my turn then?"
"No, you just asked me a normal question. Why don't you try to think of a dare for me instead?"
"Okay. Here." He handed me the skirt. "I dare you to wear it."
"Uh, but that's just the same thing I dared you to do. Plus it's already mine you saw me wear it like last week."
"Don't you have to do it if it's a dare?" Tobias said.
"Yeah, I guess." I put it on, over my pants because I didn't care. "There, you happy?"
"Yes. I only had you wear it for revenge, by the way."
"I don't think that truth or dare usually involves revenge," I said.
"It does now."
"Uh, okay then. Tobias, truth or dare?"
"Dare. But give me something that doesn't involve cross-dressing this time, please," he requested.
"Okay. Hmm." I thought for a second. "I dare you to kiss your crush."
"Crush?"
"You know, like, the person you like," I explained.
"Ah, okay. That's easy enough."
Tobias then leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. "There we go. "Now, Y/N, truth or dare?"
"W-what-?" I stammered, flustered. "Am I your crush-?"
"I suppose so. You are a person I like, and since you're the only one here I decided that you're my crush," he explained as if it wasn't a big deal.
Tobias had kissed me and had apparently just decided that I'm his crush and was acting as if that wasn't a big deal.
"Uh, th-that's not really how that works but okay then."
"Why is your face red?" he asked.
"Um no reason anyway I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick ok bye-" I said, already halfway out the door.
"Uh, alright," Tobias said, looking thoroughly confused.
I got to the bathroom and closed the door behind me, internally screaming because what the hell had just happened.
And then Y/N spent several minutes gay panicking (or straight panicking, depends on your gender lol) while Tobias just sat in their room being confused. The end.

A/N: finally finished my second oneshot! Took a while cause I had Covid and didn't wanna do anything for a while cause I felt sick but I'm better now. I'm not used to writing x reader stuff so sorry if it's not the best. Also I know the ending's a bit abrupt I just didn't know how to finish it lol. Anyway, I'm still taking requests! So if you've got any ideas feel free to ask me to write them!
