Chapter 5

The next morning Scarlett found herself alone in the room. She got up and noticed clothes on the bed. They were meant for her, she was sure. They were her clothes, from her trailer. Oh boy, she prayed that Boris had an eye on the trailer. Maybe he followed them here... But then again maybe it was a trap.

They had most of her things here, like her jewellery boxes, her cards, her crystals. Okay, what was Mason up to now? She did not really care at this particular moment, all she wanted to do was have a shower and dress in her own clothing. Nothing irritated her more than being restricted in those denim jeans. She had felt so suffocated.

Having herself a quick shower, Scarlett hurried up. She brushed her teeth, with the toothbrush she assumed to be Mason's. She did not care, all she cared about was feeling like herself. At least when she dressed as herself, she could sort of hold her self up better, or at least that was the false pretence she was giving herself.

She decided on her electric blue long skirt, it sat below her belly, very low, she wore her white off the shoulder top, which just covered her breasts. Her bangles which she adored, and her necklaces, she happily put them on. It was just so nice to be back in her element. She held onto to her cards and placed them onto her forehead. Oh how she missed them.

Sorting out her clothes she hung them up. No need for them to be laying around the room. She sorted out her crystals around the room, make sure to ward off evil... Not that it was going to be an easy task. Evil was all around her.

She placed her cards on the bed side table where she had slept, wrapped them in the cloth she kept them in and placed two crystals around them. All she needed now was the scented candles she adored so much. She had her scarf that held dangling coins and wrapped it around her hair. Yep she was back.

After applying her thick dark eye making, accentuating her blue eyes, she smiled at her reflection.

Scarlett was back in her element.

She did feel so afraid when Mason had come into the room. He looked her up and down, it was like he was trying to wrap his head around everything. "I see the Gypsy is back?" He said sounding like he was mocking her.

"She never left." She replied. She did not want to get into it with him. Scarlett had decided last night before she fell asleep, that she was going to try and help Mason. She wanted to release the demons that plagued his soul, she wanted to rid him of his hatred, show him how to forgive, how to let go.

Maybe the goddess sent her here for that purpose. Only time would tell. "You can't take the Gypsy out of the girl right?" He said as he opened the door wide. He was waiting for her to walk out. She drew in a breath and made her way out. As she passed him she stopped.

"Thank you for my things." She wanted him to know it was appreciated. He squinted his eyes at her and shook his head as he slammed the door shut.

She would be joining them for breakfast it would seem today. Funny how everybody that passed her gave her a look like they actually feared her. Many people did fear the Gypsy race. She sat down outside as did Mason, Regina followed them out and so did a few armed men.

"You sure Boss?" One very blond man asked Mason. He nodded his head.

"It's a front." Mason replied. "She is not what she wants us to believe."

"Says you." Scarlett said before she could stop herself. His men looked at Mason as if nobody ever dared speak to him so. She bit her lip and regretted speaking.

"Okay, tell us something, give us a premonition, give us a sneak peak of our future." He said clearly taunting her.

"It does not work that way. I can read your cups, or your cards. I was pretty spot on with yours... Do you remember that?" Mason looked very unhappy with her retort. Oh Scarlett, you cannot say what's on your mind all the time, time to learn to tone it down girl.
