Y/N's POV
Once the whole thing with Celeste was done, I went to my room, and sat on my bed while the night announcement played.
...seeing Celeste in that state makes me feel awful...it makes me feel like a monster...but...I already have Mukuro...and if I had accepted Celeste, I..would have broken Mukuro's heart...
I got up from my bed, and went over to the bathroom, turning on the water, but none pouring out...right, there isn't any water at night...
Sigh...
...I hope Celeste and I continue to be friends...
I took off my hoodie, folded it neatly, and placed it on the table next to my bed, as well as my glasses.
...I wonder if my mom and sister are alright...I really hope they are...the last time I saw them was back at the airport in the U.S...
Flashback
Sister: "are you really sure about this, Y/N? You know mom will worry about you..."
"...I know."
Sister: "so then...?"
"...because I have to go, sis."
Sister: "but-"
"Listen, sis...I know you're worried about me, even if you act like you're not, but...you should know that I NEED to do this...I can't keep living in fear of other people, and I can't keep losing to my own self hatred."
Sister: "..."
"You know what I've been through, and you've been there for me every step of the way...and I can't thank you enough, but...it's time I take action for myself. I can't keep relying on you or mom to make me feel better...and plus, it's a bit embarrasing, you know?"
Sister: "I know..."
"...you'll be fine, sis...it's not like this is goodbye...I'll just be in Japan for a couple of years, and then I'll come back! And I'll make sure to call you guys as soon as I get there!...so...please take care of mom while I'm away, okay?"
Sister: "...o-okay..."
I got close to my sister, and gave her a hug, and she hugged back.
"Also, make sure your grades stay up, I don't want to come back and see you as a mess or even worse, a dropout!"
Sister: "don't be an ass..."
"Haha...well, see you later sis."
Sister: "see you...make sure to make me and mom proud, okay?!"
"I got it...wait, why should I make YOU proud?! I'm the older brother!"
Sister: "because I'm your sister! I need someone to look up to other than mom and dad!"
"...fair enough."
Flashback end
...if my theory on the whole "suppressed memories" is true, and I already spent a year here...I wonder what kind of person she is now...and I wonder how my mom is doing...
...I'm sure they're fine, it's not like the world ended or anything!
Yeah, they're fine...no point in worrying!
Well...time to sleep.
I turned off the lights, lied down on my bed, and closed my eyes...
"...good night, whoever is watching me..."
And with that...I fell asleep.
