After my first death day in school I decided to grab my books and get out school. I made my way to my black range rover when a figure stood by leaned over to the car.
"Hey Cara" Jeff said nervously with a huge grin over his face.
"Uhm hi, Jeff. What are you doing your blocking the entrance of my car." I said a but rudely causing me to give an apologetic smile back.
"Ou, didn't know you turned so feisty"
"What do you want?" I said but this time I didn't care about the tone of my voice. I mean as much as we drifted as friends Jeff was still pretty attractive he could have any girl.
"I was wondering if I could take you to a lovely dinner and maybe even a club, only if you want to."Jeff asked as he came closer to me. I didn't get it he could have any girl why would me Cara Austin even be a choice?
"Cara, are you ok?" He asked as I returned back to earth.
"Yea I'm fine, so about this date" I asked sarcastically quoting the words date
"I will pick you up at 7 and wear something hot" he winked at me, causing my tan skin to slightly blush. I opened my car door and nodded slightly giving him a yes to his daring question.
"Bye love, drive safe." He yelled sweetly as i drove away.
I rushed to get home, I mean I cara got a date with a decent looking guy scratch that hot guy. I always had a slight crush for Jeff but of course life isn't that easy Brittany had to find out and the rest is history. I was really excited finally something started to go right.
I walked into my home's foyer and walked up the spiral staircase to find my sister Sav sitting in our lounge room talking to the devil herself.
"Hey Savannah." I squeaked the last part making it sound weird.
Sav's POV
"Hey Cara" I replied to her obnoxious greeting, to be quite frankly she looked overly excited and I mean Cara was never one to be so excited after coming home from school.
"So why are you so excited today something happen?" I giggled after observing Cara's twirl around the room. Weird I thought.
"Not much this little cupcake has a date with the one and only Jeff." She said happily. What Cara got a date with one of Alex's friend. Don't get me wrong Cara was absoulutely stunning but her shy personality never got her much attention from the boys.
"What, you got a date that's funny!" She looked at me weirdly
"I'm just messing with you! Finally that shy personality became a boys magnet."
"I know can you help me get ready." Cara asked. I obviously agreed but something seemed out of place, yes she could get dates but Jeff never went for girls like Cara. Girls like Cara were quite, observant and smart Jeff definitely did not acquire these things in a girl he liked wild girls you could say.
Cara's POV
I was excited I haven't gone in a date since Jimmy asked me out back in grade 9 but it was a horrible mistake. Since he attempted to go further than kissing. I obviously said no but he recorded the whole thing which got Brittany into telling the school I was a big slut.
I sat down in our makeup room while Sav started to apply all this makeup on my skin. Which caused me to sneeze a couple times, to be honest I was not used to makeup I only wore a small fraction of it, Sav on the other hand wore more than I did she always looked flawless it was quite amusing I must say. I felt foundation being applied on my sensitive skin which caused me to tell Sav that natural looks always impresses boys better.
"Ow! You giving me a heart attack-" my sister Savannah was obsessed with this band called one something.
And of course it was her ringtone great.
She wasn't in the room since she was picking out my outfit for tonight so I decided to answer the call only to see Alex ID calling.
"Hey Alex, sorry to answer the call but Sav's picking out my outfit for tonight."
"Hey it's fine Im sure she won't take to long, I will wait. Meanwhile what's up with you?" See Alex was different he treated me much like a sister, yea he was popular but that didn't stop him from being my friend. Sav was lucky to have him.
"Aha, are you sure you know your girlfriend? But no Sav's helping me to get ready for my date tonight with Jeff." I answered
It was silent for a bit and I was about to hang up but Alex answered out of his shocked trance whilst laughing
"Uhm you have a date with Jeff, that's quit amusing and funny too! Well seen as Sav isn't back I will call later tell her I love her and Cara have fun but be safe."
Aw he's so sweet but the last part made my body shiver and tense up. Don't get me wrong I'm sure Jeff has dated girls before but why would his own mate tell me to be safe? I shrugged it off, I mean he's probably just watching out for me so nothing to worry about yea, that's it.
Savannah walked in 10 minutes later with a short red A-line dress that would surely compliment my curves. She paired it up with purple stilettos that looked out righteous but very chic. Along with a gold necklace that contained a beautiful amount of detail. "Okay let's get you ready and sorry for the wait I wasn't sure what to squeeze you in considering how casual you are" I giggled at how well she knew me.
"Aha yea sorry sis, but Alex called he said he loved you" I winked and teased her as a blush creeped into her pale face.
"Is that all he said." She asked immediately after noticing her bright burning face.
"Yep he said to call him later, I think you might have a date too. Im not sure he didn't mention it but who knows." I shrugged while walking into the small dressing room that stood in the makeup room.
"Sav pass me the dress please"
I asked politely only to see the dress get shoved through the top of the door and fall on my head.
"Sorry Cara you owe it for teasing me about Alex but hurry get ready."
She said impatiently.
"Hey shut it you take forever to get ready let me take my time." I replied. I grabbed the dress and slid it over my body to notice how perfectly it accentuated my curves. Than I grabbed my stilettos which made me way taller than my usual height and lastly came the earrings. I gasped whilst looking in the mirror and felt pretty for once. I managed to get Sav to style my hair in a messy but sophisticated updo which paired the outfit perfectly. I unlocked the door leading to the make up room to see Sav holding a camera and a tear escaping her blue eyes.
"Wow you look gorgeous mom would have been so proud." She said, as I passed a tissue to her. Mom was all that went through my head after she said that. But I knew she was hear to keep me safe and help me have an unforgettable night.
"Stop crying silly it's just a date plus mom wouldn't want you crying now common take a picture and than we can wait till Jeff arrives."Sav giggled at my reaction to her crying and motioned 3 followed by a 'cheese' and there it was a picture of my 'first' real date.
"Aw this a cute picture thanks sis I wouldn't look so lovely without the help you provided me with." I smiled sweetly to her.
"You wel-" Sav was cut of when Sue barched in and hugged us while saying how proud she was of us. I was glad to have her she definitely did a great job behaving like our mother.
"And Cara a lovely boy just rang the doorbell have fun be back by 12." She said with teary eyes which was strange considering Sue is not so sensitive
"Thanks." I said giving her a kind smile in return and grabbing my clutch just to see him, there waiting.
