chapter 4 - Sun

The next thing you knew, you were being pulled out of the darkness and into blinding light. You squinted your eyes to see sun pulling you out.

"What happened? What was that?" You said drowsily. He glanced at you but his face fogged up with regret, "Im sorry, i should have told you" he said. His normal bouncy self disappeared as he seemed sad. He carried you over to a wall you could lean on.

You settled down, still not entirely sure of what happened. "It was a good hiding spot yiu had! I could barely find you!" He forced a smile, but it quickly faded. He seemed to try and cheer you up.

"Who was that?" You asked cutting to the point as you gained more aware of your surroundings. "That was moon, you could say hes my alter ego" sun said, "We are the same person but we have different thoughts, personalities, ambitions.. And stuff" his shoulders drooped. "Lately he has been acting weird and attacking the closest person near him if they are awake." He added.

You suddenly understood what PG meant by, "be safe" after lights went out, and how he warned you when they first met. You were so ignorant to so quickly discard those warnings, sadness welled up inside of you.

"Why did the lights go out?" You asked, he shrugged. "At first i thought you did, but i saw you on the bridge, i was afraid you would get hurt" he shook his head.

He looked at you sadly, "So i suppose you dont want to come back to the daycare, right?" He asked blatantly. Your eyes opened wide, "Huh? Of course i do!" You said, "it may have been scary to be attacked, but i had tons of fun, and im sure the lights are just flickering, so once thats solved, i can come back loads of times right?" You asked.

His eyes widened a bit, "Whenever someone learns that, they leave and complain im creepy or attack-prone." He said, "Thanks" he held out his fist, you bumped it with your own.

You rubbed your eyes, you still dont know if you were unconscious or tired. Maybe both? You were still tired anyways, You stood up, a pain shot through your foot and you glanced down. You had a pretty bad bruise on your ankle.

At the time you didnt think you hurt yourself from jumping off the bridge thst badly, but adrenaline stopped the pain from getting bad. Your foot throbbed.

You checked your watch, 4 am. You were in that ball pit for 2 hours.

Sun noticed and without hesitation, hoisted you onto his back, "Huh? You dont have to!" You said flustered. "I caused your foot to be damaged, so let me help you!" He said. You didnt argue with him as he took you to a s.t.a.f.f bot, who treated your ankle.

After your ankle was treated, he took you to a room behind the balcony where you first saw him. "i saw you were pretty tired so i thought you could rest in here!" He said with his usually spunky attitude. "You dont have to-" you started, but he stopped you from finishing the sentence.

"Yes i do, just rest, okay?" He said. You nodded and didnt say anything. You laid down in the mattress on the floor, you expected him to stay in the room but he went back into the daycare. You were pretty embarrassed.

He seemed guilty, like he caused trouble for you. But you knew it wasnt his fault what happened, so you didnt blame him. And he still tried to cheer you up!

Your eyes grew heavy again as you fell asleep.

You woke up to 5 missed calls from PG, "Shoot!" You called. It was 11 am already. You shot up off the mattress, and tried to get ahold of PG. "Y/N, is that you?!" He asked urgently, "Yeah! Why did you call me so many times?" You asked.

There was an instant sigh of relief from the other side of the phone, "I saw your car and purse was still here, so i was really worried! What happened?" He asked.

You needed to think of something quick, you couldnt tell him what happened or sun may be scrapped. "Just got caught up in helping out around here! The animatronics are so nice and all..." You said a bit quieter. "Thats a relief" he said. "Well, ill meet you at your desk tonight! I wanna talk with you about something" PG said before hanging up.

You breathed a sigh of relief. You looked around, not exactly seeing a door.

You peered over the side of the balcony to see happy kids screaming and running around in the jungle gym. You grew dizzy trying to think of a way to get down.

You spotted sun with a group of kids, playing around. It was interesting to say the least.

Suddenly sun saw you and springed over, "Your awake, Dewdrop!" He said happily.

"Dewdrop? Is that some kind of nickname? Isnt Y/N fine enough" You asked curiously.

"Nonsense! It was the best nickname i could think of" he said proudly

"Well alright, i guess, sunshine" you held in a burst of laughter. Nicknames may be a bit stupid but you didnt mind.

He gasped in amazement and excitement "I have a nickname now!" He exclaimed, jumping around.

He seemed to forget all about this morning, for better or for worse, who knows. "So uh, how do i get down?" You ask.

You suddenly remembered how he plunged into the ball pit when you first met. You smiled and jumped off, Sun seemed startled and tried to catch you but he was a second late.

You plunged into the ball pit, making a big 'splash'.

You climbed to the surface and stuck your head out. A bunch of kids crowded around the bank of the ball pit.

Sun frantically sprung down, "Oh no! Dewdrop your gonna hurt your ankle again!" He freaked out.

"Its a ball pit?..." You replied.

The little kids were in awe, "A new daycare attendant? Awesome!" Some of them shouted.

You despairingly looked at the group of kids, "oh jeez" you said.
