with every passing second a bell echos in her mind
thoughts running a marathon in the caves of her memories
they never stop running
the bell never stops ringing
yet she ignores the pain of those footsteps trampling her vision
the venom of death poisoning her heart
causing an earthquake to rattle the runners
she longs to tarnish the venom mocking her soul
but the caves crumble
the loud gong fades
and the thirst of the venom is quenched
as she fell to her fate
finally
it's quiet
