Before we start, I just wanted to clarify something. In every episode, the person that it's staring narrates it. Same with this one. If the text is italicized and has brackets around it [like this] then it is Rayna narrating.

RAYNA POV

[Relationships are an interesting thing. They are an invisible connection between two people. My relationships in the past have been a bit wonky, but here in Stoneybrook, I feel like I've finally found my place. Too bad some of the things that I missed from my home can't come here.]

I was walking through the park with Claudia and Stacey, when I heard someone shout my name. "Rayna!" I turned around to look at who at called me, but didn't see anyone. I turned back around to keep walking, but I when I turned back around, I saw my best friend, Lily. Her full name is Lilith, but no one wants to say that. Whenever someone is named "Lilith" they always have the nickname of "Lily". At least, it was like that with the people that I've meet.

"I told you that your God-like speed would come in handy one day." I smiled at Lily.

[Hold on. Lily? Lily, here, in Stoneybrook? But, she was still in Germany, living in the same neighborhood as my parents! Oh, did I not mention, I'm from Germany, but my accent is hard to hear even if you really try to hear it. What was Lily doing here?]

"Oh, come on! That's all I get?" Lily joked. "Not even a, 'Oh my God! Lily, what are you doing here?'" She looked at me for a response.

"That was going to be my next question. Or first question." I responded.

"How about the next thing you were going to say?" Claudia filled in the blank, coming up next to me.

"Oh, I'm an idiot." I shook my head as Stacey slapped me with the back of her hand on my arm. "Hey! Anyway, Lily, these are my friends, Claudia and Stacey. Claudia, Stacey, this is my best friend Lily, from Germany." I motioned to each of them in turn.

"Hi, nice to meet you. I'm glad that Rayna has people here that she trusts." Lily smiled.

"Wait. It's not that I don't want you here, but what are you doing here?" I asked Lily, curiosity spewing from every opening. Lily suddenly looked a bit uncomfortable as her eyes went from Claudia to Stacey on either side of me. "Lily?" My voice now had concern in it.

"There is a reason, but I don't know how much you told them about...deine Eltern." Lily spoke the last two words in German and I am so grateful that neither Claudia not Stacey speak German.

(Translation: "your parents")

"Ok, um, Stace, Claud, I'll see you guys later, okay?" It wasn't really a question. If Lily was here because of my parents, I needed to talk to her alone.

"Okay. Bye." They both said before Lily and I walked off.

"Lily," I started once we were out of hearing distance from Claudia and Stacey, "What's going on?"

"You remember how your parents treated you?"

[Wow. That was a strong way to start. Of course I remember my parents. It's a bit hard to forget about people that hurt you. I wanted to say "no" and move away from that topic, but I decided against that, wanting to understand the situation.]

"Duh. I still have the scars!"

"Well, I know that you told me not to do anything about the situation, but I did. And it went fine. I was able to get Daniel out of that horrible environment." Lily told me.

I felt fear bubbling inside me. Ok, so Danny's safe, but why is she here? "Ok, but why are you here."

"Your dad found out that I snitched and..." Normally, I wouldn't interrupt Lily, but I did this time.
