"Now as a starting sophomore, I must implore you to make some friends. It's a new year. A new chance. A new you. A new-."

"Universe? I think I can manage myself on my own, dad." I can't make friends here. They'll just hold me back. All they're going to do is give me pain. A reminder of pain.

"Life is better with friends in it." he told me. I just rolled my eyes at him. "Our multiverse is a fickle state. You might make your friends from our world here. I wish for you to join extracurriculars.”

“I’m sorry, Papa, but I cannot make friends. Friends were a mistake in our own world.” Because I had lost them.

"Its alright, Aunt May. I can just go to the bakery that Michelle works at and get a donut. It's not a big deal." The boy said as a lady came out to give him a plate with a poptart (?) on it.

"Listen to your aunt, Peter." A voice replied.

"Alright, Uncle Ben." The kid, Peter, sighed and took the poptart off of it and took a bite. "There? Happy now?"

And with that, he walked off. But not before I whizzed by putting my hood over my head as I did so. I am NOT making friends with another Peter. It would just hurt too much.
