Cora Evans was seen as a loner. She didn't hang out with other students, join gatherings or anything really. She was invisible to others. Cora had always been compared to her other sisters lily and petunia at home.
"Why can't you be more like lily"...
Cora tossed and turned struggling to wake up. It was hard since her head was pounding. She groaned and placed her hand on her head. "Ugh who let me drink so much" Cora complained trying to get up.
"Easy there party girl" Sirius laughed as he walked towards the bed. "Why am I in your dorm?" Cora questioned sitting up. "Omg we didn't-" Cora paused. "You wish" He said confidently smirking.
"Well aren't you a charmer" Cora replied sarcastically as the other marauders came in. Along with Lily. "Cora you're finally awake" Lily laughed.
"How's the hang over?" James asked sitting on the corner of the bed. "My head feels like it's about to explode" Cora sighed. "How are you not hung over?" She asked as james seemed perfectly fine.
"I'm an expert what can I say" James shrugged. "Here drink this" Remus gave me a mug that looked like tea. "Is this tea?" Cora looked up at Remus with a questionable look on her face. "Kinda but it will help with your hang over" Remus put his hands in his pockets. "Thank you" Cora smiled before taking a big gulp. "Ugh that's Nasty" Cora groaned.
Sirius looked at James who then looked at Remus and all three started to burst into laugher. "It's not funny you dorks" Cora threw a pillow at them.
Cora was feeling much better. Whatever Remus gave her in that drink had worked wonders. Cora was walking down the halls when she bumped into someone. "Shit sorry" She looked up to see regulus. "Heyy party girl" Regulus laughed. "You're not the first person to say that today" Cora laughed. "Well you were a great dancer" Regulus smirked. Cora smacked his arm and smiled. "Ow what was that for?" Regulus chuckled. "For fun" Cora shrugged. "We should dance again it was fun" Regulus smiled as he started to walk away. "Maybe we will" Cora winked and continued to walk the opposite direction.
wow was all that came to mind. Did Regulus black actually have a conversation with me? It's crazy how last year he wouldn't have even looked my way. Regulus is actually pretty cool. A lot of people think he's intimidating but I don't see it.
I didn't know what to think at this point and suddenly my head started to wonder in my thoughts. Cora needs to clear her head. Cora suffers from depression and anxiety but no one knows. She found out about her anxiety a year ago when she started freaking out when the hallways would be too crowed and she felt like she couldn't breathe.
It only happened when she feels really stressed or when she's alone in a huge crowd. It was unpredictable but Cora didn't let that stop her from going out.
Cora headed to the library she needed to be alone for a bit. Cora was looking for a new book to read. She looked at the top shelf and wanted to read the book that was labeled. "Life in the forest." The book was on the high shelf. She looked up to where the book was and back down to where she was. "How tf am I gonna reach" She muttered.
She began to reach for it when someone's arm passed by hers and brought the book down. "Hey I was gonna read that?" She said. "Relax I got it for you" She looked to see a smiling Sirius black. "Thank you" She smiled as he gave her the book.
"What are you doing here?" She questioned. "I go to school here what about you?" He joked. "I meant in the library. Sirius Black isn't known for being a book worm." She teased. "Oh no I love to read" he said dramatically. "Of course my apologies professor black" Cora bowed. Both Cora and Sirius began to laugh.
The two began to walk back to the common room."To answer your questions earlier. Remus asked me to get a book about the moon cycle." Sirius shrugged. "I have one about the solar system maybe he'd want to read it." Cora suggested. They stopped at the portrait hole and said the code "fat lady"
"Hey guys" Cora walked in and sat on the couch. "Hey where were you?" Lily asked. "I went to the library to get a new book" She said. "Oh that reminds me did you get the book?" Remus jumped up from the couch. "Yeah it's right here" Sirius tossed the book to Remus who caught it. James walked in the room and took a seat as well. "Where's Peter?" Lily asked. "I think he said he was going out with some Hufflepuff." Sirius shrugged.
"We should do something later." James said as he put his feet up on the table. "Like a party?" Remus questioned. "If we are then I'm gonna need more of your special tea" Cora laughed. "You sure party hard too bad you can't hold liquor like me" James smiled proudly. "I don't think anyone can hold liquor like you can prongs" Remus joked and everyone began to laugh. "Oh I know we should go to hogsmeade tomorrow" Cora suggested to the marauders and her sister. "I'm down" Lily smiled. "Us too" James said speaking for the marauders.
"I'm exhausted guys I think imma go to bed." Cora yawned. "Boooo" Sirius called out. "It's not even late" James said. "Let me make you another tea before you go to bed to make sure that hung over is gone" Remus said which stopped Cora from leaving.
"Okay I'll wait just because I really don't want to wake up with my head pounding again." Cora sighed. "I told you not to drink so much" Lily said sounding like a parent. "I know but I wanted to win beer pong" Cora whined.
Peter secretly walked into the portrait hole hoping the group was asleep. "We see you!!!" The boys called out. Peter turned and walked to the group knowing they were gonna question him. "Guys leave him alone" lily said knowing they tease Peter enough. "Sooo how was your date?" Sirius winked. "It was good" Peter blushed. "Alright goodnight guys I'm out." Cora stood up. "Goodnight party girl" Sirius teased. "Night Cora" said James. "Oh and thank you again for the tea Remus" Cora smiled. "Yeah of course you're welcome. Goodnight." Remus said smiling back. "Oh and Peter can't wait to hear about your date tomorrow" Cora laughed as Lily went upstairs with her.
