Chapter 9

Takemitchi POV

I'm glad that I don't have to team up with Kisaki. I'm walking with Hina. Hina says that she can't wait for Christmas. Wait, did I plan something with Hina on Christmas. Oh no, I'm double booked. "I'm going home. I don't like to waste time," said Naoto. Geez, what's his problem. Wasting time, my ass. He sounds just like Kisaki.

"Yeah, exactly like him," said Hina.

"Wait, Like who Hina?" I ask with my gut tightened up.

"Tetta Kisaki-Kun, who else?" Respond Hina.

"You know Kisaki?" I said in disbelief.

Hina tells me that we met him in the same cram school. She explains that Kisaki was the most studious kid at cram school. Since they live in the same neighborhood they would walk home together. She tells me that later on, he would move to a private school, so she doesn't know how is doing.

I tell her that Kisaki is a captain in Toman. She is shocked to hear that and says that Kisaki is a good person deep down.

There is no way that Kisaki is a good person. He is so inhuman. I ask Hina when I met Kisaki. She tells me that she doesn't want to talk about it but says she remembers it very well. I ask her if something happen.

"That day Kisaki-Kun and I met you for the first time. It was the summer of 6th year in elementary on a way home from cram school," said Hina.

(Flashback)

Hina was trying to stand up for a cat that was getting hurt by some middle schoolers. Out of nowhere Takemitchi dropkicks one of the boys.

"The hero has arrived!" shouts young Takemitchi.

Takemitchi gets beaten up by middle schoolers. He told Hina to think ahead of time and leaves Hina.

(Present)

I can't remember that I was like that. Man, I was lame. Hina tells me that she fell in love with me that day. Woah, she fell in love with me since then. Hina tells me that we are meeting up at Umishta Park on Christmas eve.

I run away smiling with glee on my face but I remember that in the future Hina told me that I broke up with her. I would never do such a thing and I'd never will. "Hanagaki-Kun?" someone asks. I turn around and thought it was adult Naoto. But the man reveals himself to be Naoto and Hina's father.

Later... I am at a coffee shop with Hina's father. He tells me that he is thankful for Naoto wanting to be a detective and it was my influence that let him pursue it. He asks me a favor. He bows down to me and asks me to please break up with Hina.

He tells me that he wants her to be happy. I tell her that I want her to be happy too. He says that I'm a delinquent. He asks me if I can protect her from this lifestyle. I couldn't say a word after what he said. He was right, I can't protect Hina. Heck, I protect anyone in Toman.

Evening...

I meet up with Hina and tell her that we should break up. I tell Hina that I have found another girl. SLAM! Out of nowhere, Hina punches me down to the ground. She is on top of me and continues to beat me, calling me a jerk over and over. Hina tells me she hates me.

... This is fine. It's better this way. It's fine. It's fine. My eyes start tearing. Damn, I love her. I can't stop thinking of her.

Itri's POV:

"Geez what happen to your face?" I ask Takemitchi. He didn't answer me. Okay, guys, let's go over the plan. "WAIT!" shouted Todo. If we are going to do this then you must let us introduce ourselves to Takemitchi and Chifuyu if we are going to be allies in this endeavor. Sure thing. So, who wants to introduce themselves?
