Chapter 1
To kill or be killed
Deandre was pulling into is drive way after leaving the club. He felt a vibration in his left pocket, and he knew it had to be Natasha’s phone. Smirking, he pulled it out his pocket.
Hubby Calling
The phone read. Now annoyed, he stuck it back in his pocket and began to get out the car when that shiny Range Rover rolled up next to him. He didn’t feel like dealing with Lexis. She made her bed when she let Trey into what Dre claimed as his, and now she was going to have to lay in it.
He got out the car, and hurried to the front door. He wasn’t running, but he didn’t want to hear her lame ass excuses for everything. It was going to hurt seeing her. He had so much love for her. He put his all into their relationship to be fucked over by the two people he trusted most.
Sliding the key into the lock, it clicked and he almost made it inside, until he felt a very subtle touch on his back.
Damn, almost.
Lexis hoped he’d turn around. She needed him most right now. She had no one else. With her sister in California, who could help her? She silently prayed for him to turn around.
Reluctantly, he did, although he wished he hadn’t.
“What do you-“ he stopped at the sight of his ex. With a tear stained face, she had a gash on the left side of her forehead, close to her temple. It wasn’t too bad, but damn! Under the porch light, he could see it throbbing. Her busted lip quivered as she bit it softly, and then his eyes reached her blood-stained t-shirt. It clung to her body and her too big sweatpants hung low on her hips. No, not her sweatpants, those were Dre’s.
He cradled her face in his hands as her eyes closed and a few tears seeped out. Without question, Deandre picked her up bridal style, making her wince in pain as her body ached. The fresh cuts and bruises were making every movement hurt with intensity, but, being back in his arms made her feel slightly better.
Walking in the house, Dre closed and locked the door, and brought Lexis to his living room couch. After laying her down, he disappeared into the bathroom right in the hall to get alcohol and a couple towels. Sitting on his knees, he aided Lexis. She flinched and winced from the burn of the alcohol on her cuts.
Still, no words had been spoken between the two. She watched him nurse her as she lay there. Tears soaked her cheeks as she felt the guilt build in her gut. Why did she have to let that sweet talk from Trey guide her into infidelity? Here was a perfect man that only catered to her. So much, that he compromised his life and his friends for her.
Rising off his knees, he pulled off his black v-neck, leaving him in a white t-shirt. Lexis admired his physique. His big arms complimented by ripped muscles. He was perfect, and she let him slip through her fingers.
Slowly and carefully, he got Lexis out of her shirt. Her heart began to pace. Although she was banged up bad, she was excited. She missed him so much over the week, she couldn’t bring herself to hear that deep voice tell her to go to hell.
Unfortunately, Dre wasn’t about to make love to her like she wanted him to. He ignored the sexy bra she had that cupped her small B-cup breasts, and told her to sit up so he could slide his v-neck over her. She obliged, and then fell back into the couch softly. The shirt was like a gown on her tiny body. He sat next to her, and finally, he spoke.
“Tell me.” He said, and she knew he was referring to what had happened to her.
“Lex, what the fuck?” Trey yelled as Lexis emerged from the bathroom in a sexy lace see-through bra and huge NIKE sweatpants. Already, he knew they belonged to his former homeboy.
