Tony's sister - Book 1

Chapter 03

Sydney was patiently waiting next to Pepper as the doors from the plane opened, revealing Tony and Rhodey. Tony walked, with help from Rhodey down the plane as he noticed the cops and the medical care.

"Are you kidding me with this? Get rid of them." Tony said and walked over to his sister and Pepper. Sydney let out a breath of relief and quickly hugged her brother. They both pulled apart and Tony looked at Pepper who had a huge smile on her face. "Hmm." He started, looking at her face. "Your eyes are red. A few tears for your long-lost boss?" Tony asked, using his usual level of sarcasm.

"Tears of joy." Pepper replied. "I hate job hunting."

"Yeah, vacation's over." Tony said, and got in the car. Pepper looked at Sydney who let out a small chuckle. "Come on, let's go home." The brunette said and they both sat next to Tony in the car.

"Where to sir?" Happy asked.

"Take us to the hospital." Sydney said, a bit concerned about her brother. "Please, Happy."

"No." Tony said shortly.

"No?" Sydney asked. "Big brother, you have to go to the hospital."

"No is a complete answer."

"The doctor has to look at you." Pepper said, agreeing with the youngest Stark family member.

"I don't have to do anything. I've been a captivity for 3 months. There are 2 things i want to do. I want an American cheeseburger, and the other..." Tony said and looked at Pepper.

"That's enough of that." Pepper said, looking straight in front of her.

"It's not what you think." Tony said. "I want you to call for a press conference now."

"Call for a press conference?" Sydney asked and her brother nodded his head. "What on Earth for?"

"Hogan, drive." Tony said, completly ignoring his sister. "Cheeseburger first."

After Tony got his cheeseburger, Happy drove towards the press conference that Pepper had organised. As soon as they arrived, people started applauding as Obadiah opened the door from the car. "Look at this! Tony."

Tony got out of the car and Obadiah immediatly pulled him in a hug. Pepper and Sydney also got out of the car. "We were going to meet at the hospital." Obadiah said.

"No, i'm fine." Tony assured. Happy handed him his cheeseburger while Pepper and Sydney were greeted from Obadiah. Ever since Sydney found out about the article, the woman had a weird feeling about him. The group walked inside as the press took pictures. Sydney and Pepper stayed at the back of the room while Tony and Obadiah walked to the front where a microphone was placed.

"Ms. Stark." A man said, who walked over to the brunette. "Can i speak to you for a moment?"

"I'm not part of the press conference, but it's about to begin right now." Sydney replied.

"i'm not a reporter." The man said. "I'm Agent Phil Coulson, with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistic Division." He said and handed a piece of paper to the woman.

"That's quite a mouthful." Sydney said and grabbed the paper.

"I know. We're working on it."

"You know, we've been approached already by the DOD, the FBI, the CIA,..." Sydney started to sum up.

"We're a seperate division with a more specific focus. We need to debrief Mr. Stark about the circumstances of his escape." Phil interrupted the woman.
