Tony and Sydney came home and started searching about the town Gulmira and found a few videos. "The 15-mile hike to the outskirts of Gulmira can only be described as a descent into hell, into a modern day Heart of Darkness. Simple farmers and herders from peaceful villages have been driven from their homes, displaced from their by warlords emboldened by a new-found power. Villagers have been forced to take shelter in whatever crude dwellings they can find in the ruins of other villages or here in the remnants of an old Soviet smelting plant."

The siblings saw how the place got shot up. "Recent violence has been attributed to a group of foreign fighters referred to by locals as the Ten Rings. As you can see, these men are heavily armed and on a mission." The siblings saw one of the rakets from Stark Industries and Tony stood up from the couch. "I'm going."

"What? Tony, are you kidding me? It's too dangerous."

"So am i." Tony said, putting on the arm-part of his suit and pointed towards the light as his lasers shot it. Sydney quickly got up, looking with wide eyes at her brother. Withot saying another word, Tony started shooting the windows. While the oldest sibling walked away to get his suit on, Sydney stayed back, kinda horrified about her brother's actions. "I'll be safe." And with that, he took off.

----

Pepper and Sydney walked downstairs after they saw the news that Tony was involved in the army with his suit. "So? What happened at the party?" The brunette asked, looking at the redhead.

"What do you mean?" Pepper asked and Sydney sighed.

"You know what i mean Pepps... You and Tony... You walked outside with Tony and when you came back inside you were totally... I don't know, not your normal self. Your face was all red and you constantly avoided Tony. Did something happen outside?"

"No..." Pepper said, but knew she had to tell the truth to her friend. "Okay, don't freak out but we almost kissed..."

Sydney gasped and let out a tiny squeel. "Really?"

"Yeah, but Syd... Nothing happened." Pepper said and the brunette sighed.

"Bummer... I always thought the 2 of you looked good together." And with that the girl left to go to her brother's workspace, leaving a confused Pepper behind.

----

Sydney has been spending a lot of time in Tony's workspace, helping him with the suit. Pepper came by sometimes to see how it is going but mostly because she saw the bullet holes in Tony's suit and was worried about him.

"You mind if i send you on an errand?" Tony asked, looking at his sister.

"What about?"

"I need you to go to our shared office. You're going to hack into the mainframe and you're going to retrieve all the recent shipping manifests. This, is a lock chip." He said, handing the chip to Sydney. "This'll get you in. It's probably under-"

"Executive Files." Sydney cut her brother off. "I know, i work there too."

"Yes, but if not, they put it on a ghost drive, in which case you need to look for the lowest numeric heading." Tony continued and the brunette nodded.

"Okay, and what are we gonna do when i'm back with the information?"

"Same drill. They've been dealing under the table, and i'm going to stop them." Tony said and Sydney sighed. She knew how dangerous it was, but she also knew her brother wasn't going to stop until every weapon was destroyed.

"Tony?" Pepper asked as she walked into the workspace and Sydney took that as her cue to leave and find the files in their office.

----

Sydney opened the door from the shared office and quickly walked over to Tony's computer. She quickly logged in and put the lock chip into the computer. The girl found the files in the ghost drive and quickly started to download them. "Sector 16? What are you up to, Obadiah..." The brunette whispered as she looked at the files.  The woman clicked on another file and it showed a video of the Ten Rings that took someone hostage. As they took off the sac from the person's head, Sydney gasped when she recognised the person... Tony Stark. The people were talking and Sydney quickly tried to translate it.

"You did not tell us that the target you paid us to kill was the great Tony Stark. As you can see, Obadiah Stane..." The men in the video said as Sydney let out a gasp. "...your deception and lies will cost you clearly. The price to kill Tony Stark has just gone up."

Sydney clicked the video away, not wanting to hear more about it as she quickly copied everything. "So." A voice said, scaring the girl a little. "What are we going to do about this?" Sydney looked up and saw Obadiah standing in the door opening. The woman didn't say a word as the bald man walked inside. Without Obadiah knowing, Sydney placed a few papers on the lock chip so he wouldn't notice and quickly put the computer back on home screen. "I know what you're going through Sydney."

"Oh yeah?" The brunette said, a little sarcastic.

"Tony... He always gets the good stuff, doesn't he?" The man said, chuckling a bit as he walked over to the woman. "I was so happy when he came home. It was like we got him back from the death. Now, i realize, well, Tony never really did come home, did he? He left a part of himself in that cave. Breaks my heart."

"Well, he's a complicated person." Sydney said and Obadiah took another sip from the drink he had poured in a glass. "He's been through a lot. I think he'll be all right."

Obadiah stayed silent for a moment until he started talking again. "You are a very rare woman. Tony doesn't know how lucky he is with a sister like you."

Sydney smiled a bit and thanked the man, before she stood up and grabbed the papers with the lock chip so Obadiah wouldn't notice. "I'd better get back there." She said and quickly left the office buidling as she dialed Pepper's number. "Hey Pepps, i need you on this okay? Call Agent Coulson and tell him to meet outside the office. It's about Obadiah."

"Yeah, Tony told me about it. You can count on me Syd." Pepper said and ended the car, while Sydney kept waiting in her car.
