Ayato and Thoma were giving eachother hints of being in love, for example trying to go in for hugs and kisses more often, tho usually pulling away because they were too scared or shy. Ayato also stopped giving Thoma as much work and would usually just tell him to rest or take the day off, but Thoma would do the complete oppossite and instead just do double the work to help his master as much as possible. They were both so mutually in love but way too shy to just admit it already.
Ayato wanted to go out with Thoma, just the two of them, alone on a date. He never got the chance because of his busy schedule, until today. It was a special day in Inazuma, there was going to be a cultural festival and of course Ayato had to go as the head of the Kamisato clan. Obviously he was going to use the festival as an excuse to go out with Thoma. Ayaka was going with her new "friend" so she wouldnt be around them, meaning theyd be alone just how Ayato was hoping.
He ended up telling Thoma to come as his "bodyguard" but of course Ayato didnt need any protection and would be fine by himself, but why would Thoma be against it? He was happy to go with his master even if it was simply to protect him from any possible danger. After lunch they decided to go and get some new outfits just for the festival. They went to look for some traditional Inazuma-style kimonos, and even tho they were simply just buying clothes together it already felt like a date. While the young master was looking at the beautiful fabric of the carefully crafted kimonos, the blonde couldnt help but glance at the other man's pretty face, at his bright blue eyes and soft partially parted lips. He was shining. He was perfect. But he quickly realized he had been staring for way too long and pretended to also be admiring the clothing, anxiously fidgeting and trying to look away from Ayato . Once they were done shopping they decided to start heading towards the area where the festival would take place, even tho they would probably be early but they didnt have anything else to do other than start going there. They ended up just taking a stroll around , chatting , giggling and having fun. Thoma tried getting as close to Ayato as possible, trying to hold his hand but always pulling away before the other could notice.
It was finally time for the festival to begin, people were already starting to dance, sing, set up food stalls and games and just make the place look as lively as possible.
The two men decided to check out the street food that people were selling first. They tried out some fancy onigiri flavours as well as some extremely sweet dango milk. Ayato wasnt a big fun of the milk, but Thoma on the other hand loved it. There was also a foreigner selling some food that they had never seen before. The seller kept advertising their food as "CHEAP AND TASTY CHOP SUEYYYYYYYY" They were mesmerised by the sound of this amazing dish, so they went and bought the entire stock. They loved it.
After they were done eating they decided to check out a few of the games. The first thing that Ayato wanted to try out was the 'Onikabuto battles' , he chose a fierce fighter and went up against a pretty scary oponent. He wasnt too sure he would win, but somehow managed to absolutely destroy the other guy. Ayato went for some more rounds after that, Thoma cheering him. After some more time Ayato got banned from the Onikabuto fights because he was winning way too much and the people thought he was using hacks aka cheating. Since they could no longer fight with beetles, they decided to fight with swords. Ayato challenged one of the most skilled fighters from the festival to a duel. They fought for what felt like an eternity, their swords were dancing with eachother in a passionate tango. For some reason Thoma felt..jealous. He didnt like seeing his master be so close to someone else. As soon as both of the fighters took a small break to catch their breath Thoma ran towards them, grabbed Ayato's hand and pulled him away from the crowd. Once they were far enough, they stopped. Ayato was confused and asked the other man what was going on, but Thoma didnt say anything and instead just stayed silent for a bit. He started walking again, going higher on the hill they were on right now. As soon as they got at the top the fireworks started. They surprised both of them but at least they managed to break off the silence between them. The beautiful lights in the sky were reflecting on Ayato's pale pretty skin. Thoma couldnt stop but stare in affection and admiration. His body started moving by itself and before he realized it he kissed the boy in front of him, not pulling away until the fireworks stopped. Ayato's eyes were wide open as if that was their first kiss, and Thoma's face was bright red. "Waka..I love you" said the blonde boy, not breaking eye contact for even a second. "Thoma.. "

Anywayyyy, ik i havent uploaded in like a century but sadly i have a disorder called being lazy.
And yes ik its short but sadly the only long things around here are Thoma and Ayato's dic- *gunshot*
