"His name was Jeon Jungkook."

"Jeon, who?" Lia asked.

"Jeon Jungkook. I don't think you remember, but he was one of the popular guys in school." Bang Chan said. "I'm pretty sure you know him when you were just a freshmen. You've heard about him in the hallways and your girl classmates probably talked about him, a lot."

Lia's eyes looked to the side, as she tries to remember a guy named Jungkook in his school. While Chaeryeong just zoned out (as usual) since she couldn't relate with the current topic.

"I think I've heard of the name...." Lia mumbled.

"Well it's because you were able to reach our batch in high school Lia." Bang Chan said with his Aussie accent. "Gosh those days...."

"So tell me what you know about this guy." Lia looks back at him.

Bang Chan took two seconds to respond, as he tries to remember the memories of him and Jungkook. "Based on what I remember, he could fight, that's why many girls admired him. Just like me, he knew a lot about the hybrids, that's why we became close. We had many things in common but, his intentions were completely different than mine, which eventually lead to the fall of our friendship." He looks downwards with a blank face.

"What do you mean?"

"He wanted to eliminate all exotic hybrids in the world. As in all, but he had a reason. He wanted to avenge his father after he was killed by an exotic hybrid." Bang Chan explained. "I mean I respect it, but I didn't feel comfortable with his intentions."

"What were your intentions?"

Bang Chan smiled before looking at Lia. "Opposite as his. I wanted to save all hybrids in danger. I know it's kinda childish but, yeah..."

"Bang Chan-oppa, it's not childish. It's actually a nice plan. In my opinion, Jungkook's intentions are a lot more childish." Lia said.

"I know that Lia but the death of his father made him have that intention. Death could have a big impact on someone you know. That's how life works."

Forgetting that another person was in their conversation, Chaeryeong raised her hand. "Excuse me, c-can I go downstairs now?" Chaeryeong asked awkwardly.

"Oh, right of course. Sorry to make you over hear." Bang Chan said sweetly as he pets Chaeryeong's hair. Chaeryeong smiles before standing up and bowing to them. Then, she heads straight downstairs.

Bang Chan and Lia continued their conversation as the door closes. "Well I'm just curious and worried at the same time oppa. Can you tell me everything you know about the hunters?"

"Sure. Well I'm sure you've heard about them." Lia nodded in response. "They're not typically called the hunters, but the public prefers to call them that for some reason. They're actually called the FBEXHYI, also known as Federal Bureau of Exotic Hybrid Investigation. Originally, their purpose is to arrest all those exotic hybrids in their beast modes in the wild, but they have no intentions of killing them."

"Then why do some hunters kill a lot of them?" Lia asked in curiosity as she knits her eyebrows.

"Because that agency is getting more corrupt each year. That's why the number of exotic hybrids is declining as the years go by. And also, they have more hunters than scientists in that agency. And their leader, my goodness, he's doing crazy stuff in that company."

"This is bad..." Lia said as a thought. "He's doing crazy stuff like that failed experiment to turn those poor kids into beasts."

"That's right. And you know what's worse, Jungkook was able to accomplish half of his goal in five years." Bang Chan said which made Lia's eyes widen in surprise.
