You walked up to the Madrigal's house and knocked on the door. It flew open and Mirabel slid out, flinging her arms around you. "Y/n, you're here!" You laughed, your best friend always greeted you like this. 

"Hi, Mirabel." you said, hugging her back. 

"Hurry, come in!" She pulled you into the house. You hung back a little, hesitating. 

"Is- is Camilo here...?" 

"Yeah, I think so. Don't worry, I won't let him tease you." Mirabel grinned.

"That's not what I was worried about..." you mumble and blush a bit, careful to not let anyone hear you. Dolores gave you a sharp look from across the room, but didn't say anything. You bit your lip. You always forgot she could hear everything. On the way to Mirabel's room where she was leading you, you felt someone tap you on the shoulder. You looked back and saw, to your surprise and utter horror, your mother, glaring at you. "Y/n! You're grounded for a month, go to your room!" You jumped, but then noticed her voice sounded... weird. Not to mention she looked like she was trying to hold back laughter at your reaction. 

"Nice try, dumbass." you said, smirking. Your mom turned back into the curly-haired prankster that always made you smile. "Y/nnnn, you're no fun. How'd you know?" he complained, pouting a bit. You shrugged. "You were trying not to laugh, it kinda gave it away."

Camilo pulled out a notebook and wrote it down, saying under his breath "Try to be serious..." You rolled your eyes and followed Mirabel into her room.

Ok y'all sorry that was super short, but I'll probably be updating this super often bc I'm really inspired to write right now.
