On the eve of the third day on the Diazzi residential, I heard that there will be a welcome home party for Fort's younger brother and fiancée, it is also to introduce me to the entire family and their business partners. The house is busy with all the preparations. The party starts at six. I swear Gia is more excited than me, and the party is held in my honor. We even went to a freaking salon.

Now, I'm standing in front of my floor-length mirror in my walk-in closet. I still can't believe I have one. It's mostly empty compared to Gia's. She likes to shop a lot. I'm wearing a simple light blue sun dress with roses on it, paired off with white ankle sandal. I did a simple front braid on the front of my curly black shoulder-length hair. As I'm brushing out my hair, I heard a knock on my door. Making my way over to open it, I found Gia standing there. She's wearing a tight red mini dress with black-gold six-inch heels, making her look taller. Her blonde hair is in a messy bun on top of her head with a few strands styled to frame her rounded face. She's definitely wearing makeup. I feel bear with just lip gloss on my heart-shaped face.

“You look beautiful."

“Thank you. So are you... Do I need to wear makeup." I asked quietly. Seeing my nervous expression.

“Oh! No! You actually look good. With how pretty you are, you don't need makeup. Besides, tonight is where you're going to meet the rest of the family. And also I think I like you even more for going with the natural look. Most men in our business are asses so stick with me or Gio tonight. I know O is always busy on these occasions."

“Okay."

We met Gio on the stair landing waiting for us. A fair skinned red haired girl hanging on his arm. Gio introduced her as Frayre, his fiancee whose parents are Scottish Australian. Which explained why she's red-haired. They look happy together. She looks like something out of fairy tale with her forest green knee-length dress with white sandals that has ropes going up below her knee tied into a perfect bow. She spoke with a Scottish accent. As the night wore on, more people arrived. Around seven thirty, we all sit down for dinner. October introduced me as part of the family.

“So does that mean she's aware of what we do?" Frayre's dad, Mr Edwards, asked with a Scottish accent.

“Of course. October explained everything to her." Geofort explains almost lazily. Of course, October talked to me about it before she told me about the party. Mafia.Gang.Rebels. Even if she didn't tell me, I would've figured it out. The Diazzi family came from old family money for generations. Don't get me wrong, they have business and take part in NGO, but they're still dangerous. That's another thing why I'm nervous tonight.

After dinner, everyone retired to the library to talk business. Gio and Faye made their way upstairs to his bedroom. Gia has been missing for about an hour now. O is with Fort. So I decided to go for a walk on the path behind the mansion. I couldn't hear traffic this far from the road. I feel like I'm still at the farm house with grandma. I took my sandals off and sat beside the pool. Pulling my sun dress up to my knees so I can dip my foot in the large diamond shape pool. I pull my earpiece on and hit play. I laid my phone on top of my sandals beside me and laid down in the dark, looking at the stars. I closed my eyes, listening to Sabrina Carpenter 'Shadows'. My legs are dangling around in the pool water.

I felt a shadow cast over my body, so I opened my eyes to see a man standing above me. Startled, I bolted to a sitting position. I quickly pulled my earpiece out and removed my foot from the pool, standing up next to him.

Looking at me with almost a murderous expression, he spit out “Who the hell are you?! And what the fuck are doing at my backyard lying around like a hobo!" I was about to explain myself. But seeing as his so rude, I grabbed my sandals and stalked past him to get back to the house. He grabbed my arm, pulling me back and throwing his cigar into the pool at the same time. I glared at his hand on my arm.

“Take your hands off of me." I state evenly.

Laughing almost crazily he said “Not unless you answer my question."

Huffing angrily “What is your problem?! Do you go around assuming that anyone in your periphery is a prostitute. Wow! For your information, I'm October's cousin." He let go of my arm. Taking to heart, I add “And if you have a freaking problem with me being here, go talk to her."

With that, I marched into the mansion all the way to my bedroom. Locking my door, I dived face first onto my bed and instantly fell asleep. Hopefully, when I wake up, the jerk will not be here. Little did I know I'm about to be solely disappointed.
