Author's note

I want to let those that still have this in their library somewhere, that I want to say thanks for sticking with this crappy story that I made in middle school. Such a fun and innocent time back then. Anyway, I still want to say that I suck at grammar and all that but I still want to write as best as I can for my entertainment in my free time. There will be some small and big changes to the story, so if you stick around for those changes, I hope you enjoy it, if not, please leave a comment on the side for some ideas to input for the story. Don't be a dick with comments about it sucks ass and to quit of that kind. I am a person with ideas in my head that just want others to be a part of, that's all.

So, yeah, have fun. \(^-^)/

Running. I just kept running.

"Stop Kevin. You know that you can't escape me!", That eerie voice kept talking. Ignoring his taunting voice, I took the next turn I saw ahead of me; however, I now knew that was going to be my downfall.

I was now trapped in a dead-end.

"Damn it. Now, what am I going to do?" I looked around for any places or doorway to run into to get away before he catches up.

"Yes, What are you going to do?" Turned around, he stood at the entrance of the alley that we were in. With his hands casually in the pockets of his suit, he looked like a Cheshire cat, looking at his new playtoy. "On the other hand, let us have that talk."

"Emrika, you want to kill my son. Why else do we have to talk about other than that?" Straightening up my body, getting ready for a fight, I stared right into his dark red eyes. Knowing this man, it's either he gets what he wants or he kills me and finds a way to get it himself. This is a man I can't let my family near, a man I have to fight with everything I have to the very end.

"Oh, we can still talk about it. Jonathan, you must understand where I stand in this situation. We created a being more powerful than either one of us can control ourselves. I am merely stating that I can help you with the child.", Emrika said taking a step closer to me.

Pull out my revolver, I aimed it right at his head, glaring at him with the way that he was talking about my son."No. I don't think that you understand what you are implying here, Emrika. You don't want to help him with his power, you want to raise him as your puppet to use in your pursuit for more power in the underworld. You want to destroy the very balance that our people have fought war after war to achieve, why can't you understand that what you want will not only destroy our society but everything that lives on this planet?"

"That won't work and you know that, Jonathan. We both know that what I want to achieve, can only be possible with the help of that child. Even if what you say happens, it was only because of people like you that fight me and get in my way. Now, if you are not going to side with me, that tells me that you are ready to be put down like a dog in the street. But don't worry, I'll take good care of your wife and newborn child." Emrika said to me with a mischievous smile spreading across his lips.

If I was right, which I'm always was, he just smiled at the thought of my death. "Sigh. A true man would fight for his family, not stand still, and piss himself like a coward, as he let's other men kill him with no fight. I'm no coward. And this is my fight to you, Emrika.

Feeling my energy deplete with that one spell, I was able to cast another spell into the revolver, and shot Emrika in his left eye', Sealing his ability to see into the spiritual world.

Screaming out, Erika grabbed onto his wounded eye, trying to stop the blood from gushing out, he stared at me with his remaining eye. Fury blasted in deep in them as he stared at me with vengeance. "What have you done, Jonathan?!" Emrika cried out at me. For the first time since I knew him since I met him, he had an expression I never thought he could have.

A look of failure and hatred.

Grin at him at the victory I gained over him, I lowered the gun to my side, no longer having the power to hold it up at him. "I used all my powers to cast a spell to not own hide my son from you, but also took away your ability to see," I said with a fearless tone. Falling against the wall of the alley, I stared at Emrika with the knowledge that he lost this battle. "Tell my old friend, how does it feel to lose at your whole game? Let me tell you, it's a nice feeling for me knowing that you will never find him and never regain sight from that eye."

"No, no, no! You couldn't. I never lose! I always, ALWAYS win in the end! You know why?! Because I am the king, I am the ruler of the Underworld! I am Emrika Draco Infini! And you, Jonathan, are nothing but a peddle in my way of absolute control! " Emrika yelled into the empty street, madness, and insanity sinking into his voice. He slowly walked to me, hand no longer holding onto his bleeding eye, but now blazing with negative energy. Standing over my weakened body, he took on a look of a madman. "Any last word before I kill you, Jonathan G. Mackenzie."

"Just a few.", I looked up and stare him straight in the eye, "My son is going to kill you, Emrika. So have fun trying to find a way to fight back knowing that it was all for nothing." Knowing that this was my last moment in this world, I smiled, knowing that I was able to protect my family in every way that I could possibly.

The last feeling I had before dying, was a blast of cold energy stabbed through my chest and then, nothing.
