All I could do was watch as the man faded into the darkness, and soon out of eyesight. Keeping my eyes on the forest, I let my mind drift back to what he was saying.

'What did he mean that I was his'? I don't even know him. That was the first time that I ever saw someone like him before in this town. ' Grabbing my head, I felt a migraine start to form from the overstrain I was causing it from the events that have happened in the short time I had been awake. 'Sigh. For now, I just put that off as a strange event, like my dreams, and try to connect them to see if any of them have a connection with one another.'

Straightening my head up, I turned back to Drake that was waiting for me near the bus doors. His face had a look of concern from my actions, but I just gave him a look that said I will tell him later. Nodding, he turned and went into the bus to sit in our spot on the bus. Giving the forest one last look, I turned away and went onto the bus.

Walking down the aisles to where Drake was sitting, he got up real quick and let me slide in to sit next to the windows. Taking off my backpack and placing it down on the floor between my legs, I pulled out my journal that I write poems, quick passages, or just random things about my day in.

"So Red," Dra turned to face me with a serious but concerned look on his face, "What were you staring at out there? For a moment, I thought you look worried about something with the way you were looking at the other kids."

'I should ask him if he knows the guy that was in the forest. Drake knows almost everyone in this town since his dad is the major.' Placing a hand on the cover of the black leather journal, I caressed the rough skin that shows the wear and tear of time that I had in my possession. Close my eyes for a moment, I took a deep breath and slowly let it out to calm myself down before I respond to his question.

"Dra, you never I don't hide anything from you. I don't believe in secrets because they can ruin any type of relationship with people. So I will be honest with you, I was staring at this man in the forest line. He looked to be in his early thirties with slicked-back hair and a jagged scar running down his left eye. I was questioning what a man of his style was doing in the forest in the first place when I heard a voice in my head that wasn't my own. I thought it was the other teenagers around us at first, but then I realized that it was coming from the man himself." Turning my head to look him in the eyes, I observed him and saw a flash of fear spark in his eyes before it was covered up with curiosity about what I said. Narrowing my eyes a bit from that, I resume what I wanted to ask him. "What I want to ask, is if you know anyone matching that description that lives in this town?"

Carefully watching him, to see if he would express any more emotions about what I just said, or if he had a recognition of the man I just spoke of. The only new expression he showed was protection over me. Staring into my eyes, he had this mature air around him that made me straighten my back and stare at him in shock. 'Drake has always had an aura of a goofy, and playful guy that wants to get along with every. But there are rare moments where he acts like this around people, and those moments are when something bad is about to happen and he wants to protect the people he cares about.'

"Ken, whatever you do, tell me when you see that guy again. He's the new mafia boss that has moved to town a couple of days ago. My dad has been trying to get them kicked out of town but has been having some trouble since the man has been able to cover his track. Can you promise me to try to be around others as much as possible, I don't want him to get his hand on you."

Tilt my head a bit, I gave him a rare smile that shocked him out of his serious moment. Raising my hand and placed it on top of his head, giving it a slow rub. "Sure, Dra. But you should know that if I'm ever in danger, you would be the first person I would go to because you are one of the few people I can trust in my time of need. Besides, when do I ever have time to be on my own? I live with my Mom in an apartment complex, the only time I get to be on my own is when I'm getting ready for bed. And in case you forgot, we are still goona studying at your place tonight. 'Cause you need to pass Ms. Wollims's biology test tomorrow." I say changing the subjects.
