It was a warm summer morning, the sight of fire and death gripped the land. Screams of pain and glory echoed throughout the battlefield. Sparta was at war with Persia. The Persian army outnumbered the Spartans ten to one, all hope of the spartan army claiming victory was dwindling quickly. Aldonas, king of Sparta galloped towards the rear of the battlefield seeking guidance from his generals. "General Achates report immediately," Aldonas said with a rather impatient tone."Yes my lord," expressed the general. "The Persian fort is heavily fortified on all sides, it's nearly impossible to penetrate, there are hundreds of archers stationed on each side making it impossible to get near." "Any weak points to penetrate?" asked the king. "The front gate is well fortified as well, but definitely weaker than the walls, however, there's a massive cauldron containing hot oil directly above the gate. I'm sorry my lord but we simply can't risk losing any more men," the general sighed. "Gods!" the king grimaced, "And what of Kalib?"
"Who my lord?" the general asked rather confused." Kalib the Misthios I employed, the so-called lucky charm of Greece? He was to lead the first assault, what became of him?" the king asked. "My lord?" the general said with a look of confusion. "Captain Christophe led the first wave there was no Misthios, nor have I seen anyone wearing different colors from our own." "By the gods!" the king punched the air with great anger, "Gods damn it where is that bloody overgrown swine? You there... soldier...stop!" the king pointed angrily at a charging soldier. "Ye... yes my lord," the soldier asked with a shiver in his voice. "Ride to camp and see if there's a black tent brandishing the emblem of a pickaxe on it. If it's still there tell the whoreson inside the tent, if he isn't here in ten minutes I'll crucify him and light the cross on fire, is that understood?" The king exclaimed, fire in his eyes. "A... Ay my lord right away." the soldier said as he ran to the nearest horse and bolted south towards the camp.
