Bendy's middle name was competitive.

A race for the top rank. Trials and tribulations to prove who was the best at something. It was second nature to him, and for once in his life, he had a valid competitor willing to take him on for the upholding position that he usually took as the victor.

You were a force to be reckoned with, although the attributes being tested within the both of you were not anything requiring force or violence.

Who could resist the other for the longest; that was the bet. In other words, you couldn't physically interact with one another.

Normally, the ink demon always got what he wanted, but now that he wanted you most of the time, he was finding it a lot harder to get these desires of his. It didn't help that you were constantly messing with him, as well as keeping yourself a fair distance from him so as to not give in to your own temptation. You were trying to surpass him, after all.

"You're falling apart already, I can tell~"

"I am not, (Y/n)." An annoyed hiss left the demon's mouth, his body slumped forward. His irritation was only there because he was beginning to get angered by this stupid bet. It was basically a long period of neglect, and he would have to withstand this aching for your affection as long as you did, and perhaps longer.

The two of you were so eager for both the upper hand, and the bragging rights, that this whole thing had managed to continue for a few days already. Neither of you had snapped.

"Are you suuurrree?" You teased him, leaning up onto the back of the couch and giving him an amused look. The two of you spent a lot of time in the lounge, and that's where you were now as a matter of fact.

"Would a hug make you feel better? Or maybe you'd like a kiss instead?"

Bendy grit his teeth, trying to suppress his urge to put you in your place and end the continuation of your taunting words. How were you so good at this? You didn't appear to be faltering at all.

A part of you did indeed want to win, but another wanted this to end just so you could return to normal. As easy as it was to mess with him, it was extremely difficult to keep yourself away. Being in a long distance relationship when he was right there was hard to do.

This shouldn't have been as big of a problem for him as it was, but he'd learned over time that you were quite easily stirpped of your confidence when he acted the way you were right now. He would go through great lengths to keep from losing to you, and any knowledge he had of your weaknesses would therefore be exploited.

The demon thought about his position for a moment and began to lightly chuckle at the circumstances, straightening his posture and slowly walking up to you from the opposite side of the couch that you stood on.

You want to play that way? Game on.

"My dear, you are quite charming." He suddenly grinned, taking you aback for a second. You had thought for sure he would have given up with a little more time, but as usual, he was attempting to make weakness apparent within you.

And now you were starting to doubt your victory with every passing moment. Bendy was way more charming than you were. He had perfected it, actually. The only reason the demon said that you were charming, was because knew how much better he was at it than you, and he was aware of what it did to you.

You observed him with slightly wide eyes, examining his position as he leaned up against the couch right in front of you, resting his elbows on the plush cushions that constructed the frame of the furniture and smiling down at you. His bowtie appeared to be flaunting itself at you, as though the fabric was proclaiming to be a part of the demon's charm, and indeed, it certainly added to some aspect of it.

He pulled it off so well.

It made him look classy and debonair, quite similar to that of a man you'd find roaming the floor at a formal, black-tie event. The gloves carried a similar effect, but finding that he still spoke and acted as though he were living in that kind of world made him astoundingly attractive. This toon was obviously from a completely different time than you, yet you liked it. Not many your age were quite like him.

It was in his gestures that you found him to be like this as well. As you had developed a relation to him romantically, you noticed his enthusiasm towards the music that played on the radios down here, and his delight when you showed interest in them was adorable. Only you knew about those things. Anything else down here had never been privileged with such a common presence as you had.

You had once made a harmless joke about his ways, calling him an 'oldie' and describing him as 'old-school', to which he replied, "The old days were the better ones, and I will never say otherwise."

He was right. The past was better, and neither of you were talking about Bendy's harsh experiences. You had been referring to the time period in general, when men and women had much simpler morals and lesser expectations when it came to technology. People had considered a film or filming device to be a luxury, but now, projectors and reels were things of the past. Not many people outside the studio even remembered them now.

You noticed his smile grow slightly wider in response to your silence as you broke from your intrusive thoughts. For the sake of keeping his ego from getting any bigger, you hoped you hadn't said any of that out loud.

And to your relief it seemed as though you hadn't, for no remark left him.

"Nothing to say to me now that you're the one falling apart, eh?" He tilted his head at you slightly, leaning down to your level.

You grumbled to yourself, reaching in and grabbing onto his bowtie. You yanked him forward and inches from your face, glaring at him with an irritated frown.

"You fucking bastard. Twisting my own words..."

Bendy chuckled once more at your actions. It was always amusing to see you get so mad.

"I thought the bet was to resist me. You seem to have forgotten~"

Your face fell, and Bendy pulled away with a much louder laugh leaving his form. He completely distracted you from that, and it was partly because of your own internal activities. His appearance had created some sort of diversion, and the pace at which the tables had turned afterwards had only made it worse for you.

"I win. You make it too easy sometimes."

You remained quiet for a moment, your annoyed expression and narrowed eyes locked in his direction. "You did always play dirty, you little devil."

"Now get over here, I wasn't done with you."

The demon was slightly thrown off with your boldness, and a slight blush appeared on his face.

"Yes ma'am."
