2 Months had passed and Riddhima had now entered the 8th month. Unlike in India, in Germany baby showers were less traditional and were more fun with innovative games, loads of food, drinks and just celebrations. Not to mention the unique gender reveal parties that were kept too. However Riddhima and Vansh had decided to not find out the gender of their baby as they wanted it to be a surprise for them too.

Riddhima was missing those traditional festivities and Vansh also didn't know much about it. He didn't want to ask any of his so-called family back in India about it either. Thankfully they had met 2 young indian couples here who were longing for some socialising in their community as well and with their help Vansh was able to at least keep a small celebration in Indian style for Riddhima.

The godh bharai rituals went on in a small intimate manner, but Vansh preferred it this way. He looked at Riddhima and despite it just being a small celebration, much less than what they had ever thought when they first found out she was pregnant, she was happy and smiling after a long time.

Wearing an elegant indo western peach gown Riddhima looked beautiful with her loose curled hair and minimal makeup and jewellery. Vansh smiled while imagining how it took him hours to convince Riddhima to buy the gown as she felt she didn't look nice in it at all and he didn't love her anymore. It took him hours of convincing her including a trip to her favorite restaurant and long persuasive talks for her to finally understand him. Her enjoying every moment was the only thing he ever cared for and wanted that whatever happened should never happen again.

Despite leaving all the mafia business and wrong dealings, getting Kabir behind bars, Vansh did not want too many people close to him, especially people who had a contact to India as he feared they might find out about his past and this way some more old enemies could come back to their life to destroy him. He knew since his own family didn't show any mercy, outsiders would be worse.

He couldn't take this risk anymore. There was a reason he left all of that behind. And the reason was in front of him. It was not just for himself, but for Riddhima, for his baby, the life she wanted and he also realised that it was a much better life living like this rather than the constant fear of death.

Ishani was released as no evidence was found against her as she bluntly put all the blame on Kabir but she had no more standings to make their life a living hell. After the last incident Vansh even cut ties with Siya and Angre's calls would also only be answered once a while when Vansh was in the mood.He left all this forever and ever. He did not want any more obstacles in his life. No more enemies, and as few connections to India as possible.

They didn't matter to him at all anymore. The day he found out about all the wrongdoings his family were part of, how they all deceived him, tried to harm Riddhima, his baby, he had enough. First, Daadi, was the biggest backstabber by initiating the killing of his dad through Vyom and then Ishani and Kabir getting together to kill them. Daadi might have paid for her sins by taking the bullet meant for him, but the rest of the family didn't care at all. Ishani would never change and he knew Kabir's jail time would also not make him a changed man.

He just hoped that he was wrong and his family would mend their ways now that they didn't have his support in any way. Hence he had given all the property to Angre with the stern warning to not let any of it get into anyone's hands. Especially after the last incident involving Ishani and Kabir, Vansh had called his lawyers and made the deal he signed to hand off everything to Angre, more solid than it was already so no one could claim anything and even if they did, all of the money and property would be given to charity.

After all, they didn't deserve that leisure and this peaceful life. Now they would suffer and realise their mistakes.

And he would lead a peaceful, simple life with Riddhima and his baby.

He got out of his thoughts as he heard loud music playing and went to join Riddhima and his friends. They had some nice food and had small chit chats.

After everyone left, Vansh and Riddhima opened up the gifts they got from their friends. Vansh also got a big gift basket from his workplace. He laughed at the fact how many packs of diapers they received to which Riddhima replied that however many they would get, it  would still not be sufficient.

Vansh didn't know how to react to this and instead decided to focus his attention on the cute outfits they had got for their little one. Vansh laughed at seeing the tiny clothes which were as big as his hand. He wondered if babies were even that small. He remembered holding Ishani and Siya when they were babies but it was such a long time ago and at that time he was a teenager himself that it was hard for him to recall.

They went through all the cute gift items they had received for their baby and decided to add them to the already decorated baby room they had prepared together. As they had decided not to find out the gender, they kept the theme of the room neutral and were glad that all gifts they received were the same as well although in Vansh's heart he was hoping to have a baby girl.

With this they shut the lights and decided to call it a night as both were extremely tired and Vansh didn't want Riddhima to over exert herself.
