Encanto, Colombia
1916

A paint brush softly stroked a canvas as the summer wind blew gently through the meadow. Elena had finally gotten an inspiration and was doing her own thing whilst Bruno observed, his sisters not far up the hill talking and gossiping with one another. With each stroke of her brush, she grew more and more anxious feeling Bruno's eyes staring at her and her work. "Bruno?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the canvas as he let out a noise letting her know he was listening. "Can I help you?" Her strokes became slow and content as she began adding smaller details. He shrugged "just watching, don't mind me". She chuckled.

"You're making me nervous."

"Am I?"

She chuckled again and put down her brush as she turned her body towards him and sighed. "You're just not going to let me work, are you?" She sighed again as he shook his head no and grinned. She stood up from where she was sitting, grabbing his hands and pulling him up with her as she let out a small laugh and shook her head. "Alright, alright. Let's go then"

"Finally" he picked her up and started heading for the girls who were now eating but turned their attention to them as they began laughing, Elena shouting at Bruno to put her down and softly smacking at his back as he just grinned.

Julieta's food was absolutely delicious and was gobbled down within just minutes before the now full teen's collapsed back onto the sheet and stared up at blue sky, making shapes out of the clouds. This truly was the best time of their lives, getting to just relax and be around one another was all she ever needed in life. She sat up and hugged her knees, looking over to Julieta who was also sitting up and smiled over to her. She smiled back. "When do you think we should head back?" Elena sighed, looking up at the sky noticing it was at least late afternoon. Julieta shrugged. "I don't know, I don't even want to leave if I'm being honest". Bruno sat up and crossed his legs whilst Pepa stayed laying down but answered. "Perhaps mama would let us just stay out here for the night?" but everyone just shook there heads as they knew Alma wouldn't be down for that idea.

Choosing not to worry about it right now, the teens sat up and just chatted for whatever remained of the day before the sun began to set and it was time to go home. Elena grabbed her stuff and put it back into her bag as the triplets waited for her at the beginning of the trail home. She stared off at the setting sun and smiled as she turned around and ran to catch up with her friends.

It was late and Elena was in here room, sitting up and staring at her windowsill. So many thoughts were running through her mind before she heard someone outside. She sighed and went over to her window, looking out of it and immediately being introduced to Bruno who was smiling. "Really? It's the middle of the night" she sighed and smiled as she helped him through the window. "You're absolutely insane, Bruno".

He smiled again "I just couldn't sleep so I thought why not a little um...midnight run.." he shrugged and looked around her room. "It's not as wonderful as yours but it's something, I suppose..." she smiled as he continued to look around and explore. She sat back onto her bed whilst he stood in front of her, his arms crossed along his chest as he stared down at her. The air was still around them, but not awkward. It was comforting actually. She looked up at him and smiled "wanna go for a walk? I couldn't sleep either before you showed up". He smiled and nodded as she grabbed his hand and sneaked out of the house through her window and walked around the empty village as the moon light up their path. They chatted and laughed with one another as they continued to walk, just enjoying one another's company as they sat down on one of the benches in the town square. Bruno had just finished making a terrible joke that caused Elena to burst out laughing, making him feel warm on the inside. "Ohhh it feels good to have such a wonderful laugh with you, Bruno" she continued to giggle as she finally calmed down and stared up to the dark night sky. Bruno looked over to her and smiled as he blushed slightly. "Glad I can make you laugh at least".

She leaned back against the bench and closed her eyes, sighing peacefully and leaning her head onto his shoulder. "Already tired" he ask, moving a piece of her hair away from her face. She opened her eyes and rolled them at him as he pretended to be offended. "You're a strange one, Bruno"

"Oh?"

"But I like it"
