It's been a week since Papa has passed on to be with Mama, but it feels like it's been much longer. Maybe it was the fact that Papa had already been mentally and emotionally unavailable since Mama's been gone. The day you found him had been painful to say the least. You think it was because you realized that he's officially gone, his physical self no longer there to give you hope that one day he'd wake up and realize that it's time to move on. That his little girl needed him.

But that's just it, isn't it? You didn't need him anymore because you found a family willing to love and care for you. Possibly even someone to love more than as a friend or sister. Someone to share your everything with and to receive their everything in return. You wonder if this is how Papa felt about Mama and vice versa. It makes you understand Papa a little bit more, even if it doesn't make the pain of it any less.

The presence of a large hand settling between your shoulder blades brings you out of your musings. You turn your head to the side to see Luisa and you give her a shy smile. A smile blooming across her face in response. The past week that you've stayed with the Madrigals in Casita has been wonderful. Of course, the first couple days the family had made sure that you were never alone, someone always there to comfort you while you were still processing that Papa is truly gone. Though the people to comfort you were mostly Mirabel, Camilo, Julieta and Luisa.

Your and Luisa's somewhat tentative relationship has grown since you've stayed with them. Some nights the past week, you had slept in Luisa's room, the two of you having shared a few more kisses and had begun cuddling.

The feeling of soft lips against your own brings you back from your thoughts once more. "Mi Vida, what is it that has you thinking so hard?" Luisa asks, bringing a hand up to softly run a thumb across your cheek.

You gently grab her wrist, turning to kiss her palm before replying, "You, mi amor. I have something to ask you." You blushed a little, feeling nervous butterflies flutter in your stomach. You wanted to ask Luisa to be your girlfriend. While you feel like you and Luisa were together, it was never officially asked if that was what she wanted.

Luisa looked at you with a sweet smile. "Of course, Y/N. What is it, mi Cariño?"

You look down at your hands, taking a calming breath before you begin, "Luisa, you are the only one who makes me feel like my stomach is full of butterflies and that my chest will explode with warmth whenever I am around you, you are the most beautiful and caring person I have ever met. Will you be my girlfriend?"

You chance a quick peek at Luisa's face to find her blushing all the way to the tips of her ears. Her mouth was hanging open and her eyes were wide. For a second you begin to doubt yourself but before you can really think anything other than, maybe this was a bad idea, lips were on yours. Not soft like your previous kisses, oh no. This kiss was demanding, a tongue sliding across your bottom lip, requesting permission to enter. You open your mouth eagerly, gently sucking on the tongue exploring your mouth.

Luisa lets out a groan, kissing you with a bit more fervor. Her hands slide down to your hips and rest there, pulling you close to her. You wrap your arms around her neck for leverage, trying to pull her closer to you. You rubbed your thighs together moaning slightly at the friction it caused. You had never felt so turned on in your life. Luisa was the only one who could get you this worked up.

Just as you were starting to feel lightheaded at the loss of air, the probing tongue retreats, Luisa giving your bottom lip a nibble before backing away only enough for you both to get some oxygen back in your lungs. She rests her forehead against yours, giving you one last quick peck before answering, "I would love to be your girlfriend, Enamorada."
