Izuku walked into his dressing room and sighed. He had just finished up a trapeze performance and was as tired as could be. Izuku plopped down onto his bed and was about to fall asleep until he heard a knock on the door.
Izuku groaned. He didn't want to deal with anyone at the moment, especially the ringleader. The guy was a pain in the ass. Izuku sat up and trudged towards the door. When he opened it, he was relieved. It was the one person he could deal with at the moment: Sabrina.
Sabrina was the snake lady of the show, her golden, snake-like eyes radiating in the spotlight everytime it was her turn to perform. Her python companion, Mochi, was with her at all times, performance or not. The reptile was tame, but that fact didn't put Izuku at ease. He was still on edge when it came to snakes, especially after the time he found Mochi in his bed when he woke up in the middle of the night.
"Izuku, what'ssss on your mind? You left before the audience did." Sabrina stated, elongating the 'S' as usual as she welcomed herself in. Izuku couldn't help but smile at the young woman. She was like an older sister to him, after all. "I'm just tired." Izuku said. "Had a long day, so..."
The ginger glared at the teenager with her snake eyes. "Don't lie to me, young man. What'ssss the real reasssson?" She asked as Mochi slithered his way from Sabrina's waist to her neck, allowing her to pet him. Izuku gulped. How could she stand that thing?
"You've been thinking about your mother again, haven't you?" Sabrina asked as she continued to pet Mochi. Izuku tensed up slightly. Busted.
"Yeah..." Izuku muttered under his breath. It was true. He had been thinking about his mother, how much he missed her. He left her a note when he ran away that night, but he could imagine how painful it must've been for her. Your only child just gone? That's something he could barely begin to comprehend would feel like.
"Well," Sabrina started, snapping Izuku out of his thoughts. "You could jusssst go back. No one'ssss ssstopping you." She explained. Izuku's eyes widened. Go back home? After a full year of being gone?
"You really think I should go back...?" Izuku asked, his voice trembling ever so slightly. Sabrina looked at him with her snake eyes as a soft smile spread across her face. "I do." She said. "Y'know, I ran away when I wassss about your age. My own mother wassss ashamed of me, hid me away my whole life. So when the time wassss right, I didn't look back."
"I ssssort of regret it now, though. My father wassss a very kind man. He didn't care what I looked like. He loved me for me. The ssssame way your mother lovessss you for you." She put a hand on Izuku's shoulder and pulled him into a hug, Mochi joining in by wrapping himself around the two. Izuku returned the hug and nuzzled into Sabrina. She may be cold-blooded, but her heart was as warm as a fire.
"Hey Sabbie?" Izuku asked.
"Hm?"
"Can you and Mochi help me pack up some stuff?
I'm going home..."
