Chapter 5 : ' Group Problems'

DURING CLASS

" Good morning class. How is everyone doing?" the teacher asked. The whole class answered back except for me. 

"Xin-lang? Why didn't you answer me?" 

I looked up to miss and started to look around the class and noticed that eyes were all focused on me including Tae's. " No reason." I responded. 

"Well young lady I see this as disrespect and if you can't learn to have respect for your teacher I am going to have to give you detention." 

When miss made that comment everyone was giggling and covering their mouths while pointing fingers at me. I just ignored them though. " Sorry miss next time I will try to have or show a little respect for you." 

"Hmm, very well I accept your apology." She said. I rolled my eyes at her when she turned her back against us. Although I'm not known as the 'bad' student quote on quote but I really didn't want to come to school today and that was my main reason for not wanting to come.

"Today I am giving you all the opportunity to complete the assignment that I have given to you. Though some people in this class get their work done on time like Xin-lang there are others who just sit back on their buts getting absolutely nothing done! So take this seriously! Note also this project is due for this Friday; and I know today is only Tuesday but don't make it fool you, okay?!"

"Yes miss" ( the whole class responded)

"Okay, now dispatch into your separate groups!"

AFTER THEY SEPARATED ( Xin-lang and Marie's group) 

" Hi! So I heard that you are suppose to be the top dog of this class" Marie said. " Yes, and why are you telling me this?" I replied. "Well, I've never really spoken to you before so it's kind of difficult for me to communicate with you."

"If it was hard to communicate with me then I wouldn't be answering you."

" Fear point. Anyways I just want to discuss the project title with you. What do you think we should name it?" 

"I don't know probably we could go for poetry. I mean it's fun,exciting, interesting and it grabs a good audience." I suggested. " Poetry? Nah I don't think poetry is the best thing to go for."

"Well if you don't like it you can come up with your own title but I just think that poetry is the easiest topic to highlight points on."

"Yeah I don't get where your coming from. Maybe we should do something like, 'Why soda's should not be allowed in this school' what you think?" 

"Don't you drink soda?" I asked Marie. "Yes." "Woah, so do you not realize that if we write about a topic like that we will basically be offending ourselves for drinking soda which were going to later go against ? It doesn't make sense."

"Yes it does." Marie replied. "No it doesn't. It's stupid to think that anyone would go for a title against their self." 

"Why are you making this so hard!? This is literally easy primary work!" " I'm making  it 'difficult' because it doesn't make any sense!"

"Hey,hey,hey! What is the meaning of this?!" Miss asked. "Miss Xin-lang is being too complicated. First I ask her for her opinion and then she gives me nonsense. Second, I gave a suggestion which I myself find sensible. Thirdly, she argues with me instead of helping." 

"Okay and Xin-lang what do you have to say?" "That it's ridiculous and all I'm trying to do is to prevent us both from getting a failing grade and she's the one making a fuss about it." 

"Okay. Here's what I'm going to do. You two have to work as a team no matter what. It's not like I could switch you guys because it's already been decided." 

"Haha, looks like hopeless Xin can't get through her project." Emica says with a pity tone.

"Leave me alone Emica!" "What? Are you scared cause I have Kaito? Or are you just hopeless and sorry for yourself?" 

"First off I've known Kaito for a long time and second just because his your group partner, doesn't make you any more popular it just shows the fact that you're a complete idiot!"

"Okay! That is it! You three in the principal's office now!" 

"What!? I didn't even do anything!" Emica says trying to defend herself. "Well no one cares Emica!" "That's enough! I said that's enough! In the principal's office you go! When they send you back you three will come back to work!" 

You know when you want to punch someone in the face because they put you in a situation where you did nothing wrong? Well that's the kind of situation Marie got me into to.

Instead of working on the project I have to go in the Principal's office with these idiots. Ugh!
