Lunch Time

"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you to your locker?" Abigail requested.

"No Abs, it's okay you could go get your lunch, I won't take long." I smiled at her.

We separated from each other, both of us going to the opposite sides of the school. I walked through the quad and into the hallways which were meant only for lockers. I put in my combination and opened my locker putting all of my books inside.

"Baby, why don't you go and get us a seat at the lunchroom? I'll be there in a little bit." I heard a familiar voice say.

"Oh my god baby, are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" a high-pitched, exasperating voice asked.

"I'm a positive sweetie."

I heard them kiss then her annoying heels clicked away to the end of the hallway. The footsteps of the boy got closer and closer until they hit my locker, then they stopped.

"What are you doing here alone?" He smirked.

I should've known, it was Chris.

"Oh hey Chris, I should've known it was you. Jean totally gives you away." I rolled my eyes.

"What do you mean?" His smirk turned into confusion.

"I swear you're so brainless. Could you just leave me alone?" I closed my locker.

"I will give you what you want when you give me what I want." His tone of voice is serious.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"A kiss."

I almost regurgitated. There is no way in hell that I was going to kiss him, who knows where his lips have been.

I shook my head. "I don't think so."

I was walking away when he grabbed my arm and spun me around forcing me to look into his eyes. He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me closer to him. We looked at each other for a while.

We stayed that way for a minute until he finally spoke.

"See, I told you I could make you fall in love with me."

I laughed out loud, actually, maybe a little bit too loud. I forced him away from me.

"You wish I loved you, Chris, in your dreams."

He got close to me again.

"One day you'll love me." He whispered in my ear.

"You mean nothing to me. I'll make sure that I never fall in love with you." I barked back.

He grinned. "We'll see about that."

I was getting irritated now.

"What do you want from me?"

He snickered.

"How about we play a little game?"

I thought for a while. Where is he going with this?

"What kind of game? I acknowledged.

"A little love game. We both fake dating each other. Pretend we love each other. Kiss, hold hands, do all that couple stuff. Everyone has to think we're actually dating. Whoever falls in love first, loses." He was being serious.

"What are the consequences?" I craved.

"Whoever loses gets humiliated in front of the whole school by telling everyone that this was all a game."

I seemed kind of interested but then I remembered what my brother told me.

'Oh and Paige.' 'Be careful with Chris.'

His voice kept on echoing in my head.

"If I do play this stupid little game with you, both Abigail and Damian have to know about it," I demanded.

He thought about it for a little bit the shrugged his shoulder.

"Fine. So is it a deal?"

I shook my head no.

"I'll think about it."

And with that, I left him there in the middle of the hallway. I was on my way to tell my best friend what kind of treaty this loathsome kid wanted to take with me.
