The air was bitter and cold this early in the day, if you'd been anyone else it be painful against your exposed skin, but Venom seemed to enjoy the feeling, it was one of the many new traits you'd picked up from him after he latched onto you that fateful evening.

And to think all this happened because your plug* wanted to switch up the pick up spot, he said he'd be outside this scary ass warehouse with extra bud in the bag for the forty five minute trip to Bludhaven. As you had nothing better to do you took the train ride over by yourself, despite the obvious displeasure from Roy, he insisted Jason would kick his head in if he let you go on your own, thankfully his mysterious little beeper pulled him away, allowing you to travel by your lonesome.

But you didn't come home alone.

Yes it was a bitch and a half to haul yourself out of your warm bed but you were fresh out and despite the oddity of the situation, the mysterious masked man had never done you dirty, but Bludhaven was a serious pain to get to this late, only one train ran at this hour meaning you had a very short window to get what you came for and make the last ride back into town. Why go through all this trouble for the devil's lettuce you ask? Simple, you lived in Gotham, that in an of itself was a reason to smoke, but more importantly you were bored.

The address he'd told you to meet him at was weird sure, you'd never met in a empty facility before but he was a peculiar man so you didn't think much of it.

His last message clearly stated he'd be outside but low and behold the parking lot was void of all life, only adding to your growing unease. A loud commotion was coming from inside the otherwise quiet area, Your eyebrows shot up as you examined the huge building with skepticism, shrugging off the bad vibes, you cautiously made your way towards the sterile looking structure. The doors were wide open so you pushed down your discomfort and entered, thumb hovering over his contact more than ready to call.

The commotion only grew louder as you inched closer to a set of double doors, with your anxiety and irritation at an all time high, you pushed open the doors with flair.

"Dude this is some weird ass scary movie shit- oh whoops- sorry fellas don't mind me." The group of armed men stared back at you in shock for a moment before the one holding a large glass case harshly set it down to take aim, the barrel pointed at your chest, with speed that nearly twisted your ankle, you hauled ass back outside, cursing everything you could think of for stumbling on an armed robbery of all things.

The shouts and gunfire from behind you only fueled  your body to push harder. What the hell were they shooting at? Beside you of course.

As hard as you pushed yourself, you were still roughly slammed into the ground, the writhing man on top of you managed to crack something in your chest, a whine left your mouth at the painful sensation that bloomed throughout your torso.

Adrenaline pumped through your veins, you could hear your blood rushing in your ear, although it was a little hard to focus on the pain as the man absolutely lost his shit above you, he was snarling, nearly foaming at the mouth as he tried to put his hands on you, not hit, but rather touch you.

Something was wrong, seriously wrong, you were just barely managing to hold back his flailing limbs, confusion anger and fear all mixed together as you fought against the feral man. Seemingly frustrated with your resistance he screamed, then threw his head back before harshly connecting his head with your own. Your vision went black for a moment, the pain not registering, an involuntary shudder ran through your body at the sensation that followed. Seconds after your heads met he stilled completely, his twitching body slumped in place. With a grunt you kicked him away, not noticing the large dent the body made in the concrete. You panted harshly, trying your best to suck down as much air as possible, the stinging in your chest fading with each gulp of O2. Of course this moment of rest was interrupted by a shout and a shot hitting an inch away from your skull. Without another thought feet met pavement in a desperate attempt of survival, your body cut through the air, legs pumping much faster than before, each step cracking the ground, although you didn't notice. (H/c) locks of hair whipped behind you as you pushed forward. A few more shots rang out, this time hitting their target, two blooming craters had formed where the bullets hit, but you never faltered. Despite the painful burn in your shoulder and leg a drive you didn't know you possessed propelled your body to keep moving. Almost like you were being tugged.
