That, not the arrow, it represents a timeskip. Normally in the following paragraph I mention some indication of time passing, but i have seen people get confused before in the past so I figured it would just be easier to let you guys know before hand!
I don't want to spoil too much going into this, it was just an idea I randomly had while listening to music and I had to do it.
I hope you guys enjoy, and I might do a part 2!

"(Y/n)!" My mother yelled from the main room of our bakery. My hair was tied up in a pony tail and I still kept my apron on as I excited the kitchen and met my mother behind the counter. In front of her stood none other than Pepá Madrigal. 'Shitshitshit.. okay okay, just don't make her mad, or upset.' I repeated over and over in my head, scared to death to make this woman feeling anything short of happy, if she made a rain cloud appear above her head.. well we might as well kiss all of the pre-baked goods fair well.

"Hello! I heard you're the little baker around here!" Pepá started, she seemed very joyful at the moment. "Sí señora. Is there anything I can help you with?" Pepá clasped her hands together before looking at the menu. "Yes! I want to request three, three tiered cakes!" I nodded my head, taking out a note pan and pen before writing it down. "Flavors?" I Inquired quickly. "Vanilla, chocolate, and confetti."

"Okay, and do you want each tier to be their own flavor?" Pepá answered with a quick "no", even after I clicked my pen closed Pepá still looked at me with this hopeful expression, like we weren't finished. "You would like some kind of design or theme with the cakes?" The lady nodded her head with a "yes please" before I was able to lead her to a table in the store. I sat her down before grabbing a book of our previous themed cakes we took pictures of, a pensil bag and a notebook.

"Would you like me to give you time to browse through some of our works we've done in the past?" I asked. Pepá beamed at my request. "Yes please!" I gave her the thick book of stuff we've made before and set my notebook and pensil in the seat across from her. "Would you like anything to snack on or drink while you browse?" I asked. "Yes, do you have water?" "Of course," I nodded. "I'll only be a minute."

The red-head continued to browse through the cakes while I got her a bottle of water. When I returned she still looked as happy as ever, i sat down her water before sliding in the seat across from her. "May i asked what the occasion is for?" She glanced up at me for a second before going back to flipping through the book. "My son, Antonio, he's getting his gift next week... I just want everything to be perfect for his special day."

Although it wasn't too noticeable of a difference, i could see more clouds in the sky than there was previously. "Are you nervous?" I inquired, I hadn't noticed before but she was picking at the edge of her nails, where her cuticles would be. I only just now saw that there were sores all over her fingers from her, seemingly nervous, habit of picking her skin. The only reason I even noticed is because she very abruptly stopped the movement that she was once doing. The sky going a little cloudier, still not grey yet.

"It's just that..." her voice lowered into a whisper and she started messing with her hair. "I don't want to be rude but... we all remember the last gift ceremony.."
