Chapter 36 Scabbers is back

Hermione nods, then SMACK! quick as lightning,lands a looping right to Malfoy's jaw, putting him flat
on his back. Stunned, he leaps to his feet and runs, Crabbe and Goyle huffing and puffing behind.

Y/n bursts out in laughter as he runs away scared like a little baby, as she laugh she falls to the ground holding her stomach.

"That felt good." Siad Hermione a smile on her face when she locks eyes with
Y/N who had recovered from her laughter, Hermione then helps her up and the four walk down to Hagrids hut.

Third person pov...

Hagrid stands by the window watching Buckbeak. Harry and Ron sit. Hermione makes tea and Y/N grabs the mugs."Look at 'em. Loves the smell o' the trees when the wind blows..." Says Hagrid sadly.

"I say we set him free." Harry's says determined to help Hagrid not be sad. The giant shakes his head. "They'd know I did it. And tha' would only get Dumbledore in trouble. Gonna come down, yeh know. Says he wants ter be with me when it... when it happens. Great man, Dumbledore"he said sniffling, Y/N then brings the mugs over to the table while Hermione finishes the tea.

"We'll stay with you too, Hagrid." Said Hermione standing next to Y/N all four third years were determined to stay with their friend. "Yeh will not! Think I wan' yeh seein' a thing like this! No. Yeh'll drink yer tea an' be off. But before yeh do -- I wan' ter see you an' Ron shake hands, Harry." Y/N snorts of course Hagrid would be the one.

Ron and Harry exchange a glance, then look to Hagrid. "Thin' I haven' seen 'ow it's binbetw'n you two? Go on now." Pushed the Giant. Reluctantly, Harry and Ron extend their hands and shake them.

"Good. Now then. Ron, I wan' ter
see you give Hermione a hug" said Hagrid while Y/N covers up her snort of laughter.

"What!" Exclaimed both Hermione and Ron, eyes wide and looking at the giant. "Go on! You two've been at it all
year. An' I'm sick o' it." He said sternly.

Acutely uncomfortable, Hermione and Ron step forward and perform perhaps the most awkward hug Hogwarts has ever seen. With Y/N and Harry laughing in the background.

Hermione than jumped onto Y/N making the girl shut up and hug the other girl back. Making Hagrid raise one if his bushy eyebrows while Harry smirked at the two girls.

"Crikey, tha's jus' abou' the most pathetic hug I e'er seen. But yeh did it, an' tha's wha' matters. There's jus' one other thing..." the giant trailed off.

"I'm not kissing Fang if that's what you're thinking..." said Ron firmly glaring at Hagrid Hearing his name, Fang Hagrid's giant boarhound thumps his tail happily on the floor. Hagrid turns, takes the lid from a flourtim, a tiny head, ears flecked with powder, emerges.

"Scabbers! You're alive!" Yelled Ron happy to have his rat back, Y/N groans she has never liked Rats.

"Yeh should keep a closer eye on yer pets, Ron." Said Hagrid, Hermione then walks over to Ron and crosses her arms.
"I think you owe someone an apology" she said.

"Right. Next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know" said the idiot making Y/N slap his arm the insensitive idiot. "I meant me" glares Hermione her eyes narrowing.

"Crikey. Here we go agin" mutters Hagrid to Y/N who nods her head. SMASH! A glass jar on the shelf shatters, a second stone bounces off the back of Harry's head. "Ow!" Yelps Harry, he turns, looks out the window.

"Hagrid..." Everyone turns. Looks. Dumbledore and Fudge approach.
Behind them, in a fluttering shroud of Crows, the Executioner follows, axe at his side. Hagrid begins to panic.

"Yeh got to go! It's almost dark.
Anyone sees yeh outside the castle
it'll be trouble! Big trouble!
'Specially you, Harry" worries Hagrid opening the back door and pushing the four out.

The door shakes. Hagrid stiffens in
fear. Harry reaches up, puts his finger to Hagrid's trembling lips, as the four leave.

As the four children exit through the back door, Fudge, Dumbledore and the Executioner enter through the front.
