I run my hands down my jumpsuit to wipe the sweat off my palms. I take a deep breath as I stare at all the faces recalling the last time I saw them in a this exact church. I clear my throat and my eyes pan to Aaron who gives me a nod for comfort. "Um, ahe...Good morning everyone. I wish I was seeing all of you under different circumstances. That being said I know this is very soon to be holding this mass, but Mickey has assured me it was the only available date." I take a breath and try to collect myself. "As everyone here knows me and my mothers relationship wasn't the easiest, but she surely did try her best. She was flawed, but so is everyone in this room"

I wipe a tear falling down my cheek, "She was working on herself so hard, she got better and that's when God decided it was her time. I appreciate all of you being here for her." I walk down from the podium and take my seat next to Aaron. He places his hand on my thigh and gives me a warm smile. The rest of the mass I was zoned out staring into space. Aaron rubbing my thigh took my attention. "Hey you alright?" He looked at me with concern and I nodded, then stood up.

He placed his hand on my back and walked me out of the church and I realized it was already empty. "How long was I zoned out?" Aaron furrowed his brows, "Five minutes or so" I sighed as we got into the car. Aaron drove straight to the cemetery and we both walked up to where the priest, my moms casket, and my relatives were gathered around. Aaron escorts me to the front and I stare blankly at the casket as the priest says a few prayers. Aarons hand on my back grounds me as I try not to cry. Her casket get lowered into the ground and a sob leaves my lips.

Aaron pulls me into him as dirt gets thrown over her. I lean into his ear to whisper, "Can we go home now?" He nods and I shake my head, "I mean home home" He frowns and nods. He walks me to the car and opens the door and closes it for me after I'm situated. He then pulls out his phone and calls someone as he leans back against the front of the car. After a few minutes he hangs up and gets in the car. "Everything okay?" He nods and drives off to the house. "I'll run in and get our things, stay put my love". He leans over and gives me a peck, then hops out of the car and heads inside.

"Baby wake up, we landed". I squint my eyes open adjusting to the light. Aaron unbuckles my belt and I sit up rubbing my eyes. "Can we go see Danny?" He smiles at me as he grabs our bags, "He's picking us up baby". I smile tiredly at him as we make our way out of the jet. As we walk down the steps a familiar porsche rolls up. Daniel hops out of the car and I run into his arms. He lifts me in a tight hug and carefully puts me down. "How you feeling buttercup?" I smile at him, "I'm okay". Aaron finished throwing the bags on the trunk then came and hugged Daniel. "Thank you for picking us up man" Her shook his head with a smile and rolled his eyes.

We all got in the car, Aaron letting me sit in the front. "So how was the funeral?" Daniel asked while driving out of the airport. "I honestly don't remember most of it to be honest" I let out a sigh and he looked at me with sympathy. "I'm just happy to be home" I relax into the seat and rest my head back. "How's Kellys hand A" He let out a grunt, "She's fine, gave me a tone of shit for leaving so soon and a whole bunch of other shit". I frowned and Daniel noticed so he nudged me with his elbow. Aaron noticed, "What's going on?"

I sighed and looked back at him with furrowed brows and he has the same emotion showing. "I'm sorry your mom gave you shit because of me". He frowned and caressed my cheek. "Baby don't you ever apologize." I turned my attention back ahead of me just as we pulled into our driveway. We all get out and Aaron grabs the bags as Daniel and I walk to the front door. I take a breath and close my eyes as I enter, "Man is it good to be back". Daniel chuckles and wraps an arm around my shoulder, "It's good to have you back".  Aaron clears his throat and tosses the bags on the floor. "Should I be worried?" I rolled my eyes and Daniel laughed, "Oh one hundred percent buddy". Aaron punched Daniel in the shoulder and they both bursted out into laughter while I shook my head at them.
