Bruno's daughter

As I run off I hear Mirabel following me, I get close to catching him but there's a hole and I stop, whereas he just is across the planks of wood sticking out and turns the corner. I move backwards and jump across and continue round the corner until I hear yelling from behind me.

"HELP!" It's Mirabel, I run back to get her, as I grab hold her hand the wood under me breaks and I scream. I can't get Mirabel up and I can't get up myself. Mirabel would have fell but the person came back and helped her up. He goes to help me next but my hand slips off the wood I'm holding onto and I fall as he tries to grab my hand but misses.

"NOO!" I hear him shout. Turns out the hole wasn't deep and I landed of stone. As I hit the ground I let out a slight scream of pain.

"y/n?" I hear Mirabel calling for me.

"I'm good." I say standing up. There's a sort of fog where the bottom of the pit and as I stand it fades away. The two help me up and the figure still has his hood up. He walks off indicating us to follow, Mriabel and me look at each other and follow,

We reach a door which leads to a little room, the person is stood facing away from us.

"Who are you?" I ask. He sighs and he lowers his hood and turns to face us. I was right with hoping. I gasp and run forward and hug him tight.
"I missed you pa." I say.

"I missed you too." We pull away from the hug." I regret leaving so much but it was better for the family." He has tears in his eyes and I'm crying.

"Yeah, not so much for y/n though." Mirabel walks over and puts a hand on my shoulder and Bruno looks confused. "Everyone turned on her, it was only recently y/n stood up for me and Camilo started believing her, it didn't make Abuela happy." She explains.

"So everyone in town and the family but two..." my papi starts but trails off.

"Yeah." Mirabel whispers.

The two go off talking about the vision and the miracle, while I sit on the floor, the rats living with my pa Bruno scurry towards me and I pick one of them up and stroke it, then I realised. I stared listening to what Mirabel and Bruno were talking about and they were talking about another vision and what to do.

I whisper to the rat hoping my plan will work. The rat runs off and soon the door creaks open showing me my plan worked.

B-"I need a big open space."

M-"We'll find one."

B-"Where?"

"Use my room." We all turn to see Antonio, yes it worked. "y/n sent a rat to find me, it told me everything."

Pa Bruno finally agrees and we make our way to Antonio's room. Pa sets up the equipment so he can use his gift and gets ready.

"You two might want to hang on." He puts his hands out and I take one while Mirabel takes the other. Sand suddenly starts blowing around us showing us what Bruno saw before, but Mirabel spots a butterfly and sees a way to help the candle.

It turns out that Mirabel has to embrace her sister Isabella to help the candle

"ISABELLA!?" She yells.

"Oh your sister, that's great." Bruno smiles and shows her the vision, meanwhile Mirabel looks really angry. Bruno sighs "every time." He says throwing the vision to the side. I run and catch it thinking it would be useful to have.

Bruno and Mirabel go off to Isabella's room and I go to find Camilo. I knock on his door but no reply. When I hear him downstairs yelling for Mirabel when his voice suddenly goes high pitched. His gift isn't functioning properly. He must have shifted back because I bumped into him upstairs and he was back to normal.

"Hi." I say.

"Heyy, I need to talk to you."

"Funny, I need to talk to you too."

"Well let's go then." He opens his door and walks in, I close it behind me and sit next to him on his bed.

"So what's up?" Camilo asks. I hand him the vision and he looks at it confused.

"It's going to help the candle apparently."

"How?"

"I'm not fully sure, but why did you need to talk to me?" Camilo sighs.

"You may have heard me when I shifted without control, yes?"

"Yeah, I heard you went high pitched."

"Don't remind me, but I wanted to ask, is your gift fading or malfunctioning?"

"I haven't tried." I concentrate and try to make the illusion of my papi, like I normally do but it flashed and disappears. "That would be yes, my gift isn't working properly."

"What are we going to do?"

I'm about to reply when we both hear yelling from downstairs. Camilo and I look at each other then dart off to see what's happening.

AN- sorry it's only a one chapter update but I've been really busy at the moment, I'll try and update again very soon.
