The Red String of Fate (On Hold)

Prologue: Our Encounter

Akayuki's POV

I ran and ran as far as my legs could carry me. Far away from all my nightmares, my family. Anywhere seemed better than staying in that suffocating environment of hell. They would never understand the burden I carried. The harsh truth that I was not their child, I was nothing but a mere tool for them to use. For I, am the nine tails pipe fox.

Soon after some time, I had reached a clearing in the human world.
The words slowly slipped out of my mouth, "Ahh. The sky is filled with so many stars tonight. What a magnificent sight to see."
I was in awe as I looked up beyond the horizons. Truly this was a memory I had engraved into my mind, something I wished to never forget.

A rustling noise from the bushes had caught my attention, "Someone is coming," I thought. A figure hand slowly emerged from the bushes, revealing a boy. Hair that glistened under the moonlight, shining red like blood and ruby colored eyes that looked so hauntingly beautiful.

He looked surprised, as was I. "Of course he's surprised," i thought to myself. Who wouldn't be> A mysterious girl with pointy ears resting on top of her head and nine tail, eyes like golden jewels and hair as white as winter and not to mention the red swirls that danced upon my body. If anything this boy should have been terrified, but he was not. No he just simply asked," who are you?" His eyes filled with curiosity, while my mouth agape, i thought that normal humans should have held fear in their eyes as they stared at a beastly figure like me. But apparently this boy was not so normal.

I timidly watched his movements, as he stepped closer to me. And just as I were about to turn to run, a small warm hand held my wrist. Making my eyes widen and my ears to lower to my head, and my gaze to land the ground beneath us.

Once again his melodic voice spoke," who are you?"

Trying to regain my composure, and in the softer whisper,but loud enough for him to hear, due to his close proximity," Ai A-Akayuki. T-That's my name." I shuttered.

If only the earth could have swallowed me up at that moment, I wouldn't have to feel the slightest embarrassed, shuttering in front of him. "That's a beautiful name, but Akayuki seems so long. Don't you think?" His breaking the silence once again, adding to that he introduced himself, "My name is Akashi Seijuro!" He stated proudly with a smile that crept onto his lips.

Jokingly I said," And to think my name was long. Your's is much longer Bakashi."

Bakashi must have been quite a shock to him. He looked at me like I had grown an extra head and insulted his family name, but I was merely poking fun.

Slowly but surely, a small bubble of confidence overtook me. Confidence that somehow changed my dull world to something much colorful that day. " Would you like to be my friend, Sei-chan?"

Smiling, he replied, " Yeah, Yuki-chan!"
