Hi! :) I wanted to introduce the main characters of this story so you can get a feel for their aesthetics before you start reading. Wren adkins (17) Wren's aesthetic is the definition of rich girl. She's gotten everything she's ever wanted in life - she's spoiled but she's not a brat. She's respected by most people in her world, mostly due to her parents being Julianne and Stefan Adkins, two of the world's four commanders. She has a strong interest in the politics side of her family's line of work, however she's very rarely allowed to participate. She's recieved tough love from her parents her whole life, so her relationship with them is complicated. Her relationship with Jay is also complicated, but i'll let you learn about that in the story...

Jay Knox (18) Jay's aesthetic is dark and dangerous. When Wren was being taught the languages of the world, Jay was being taught how to kill; Wren's parents look like saints compared to Jay's. His father, Arthur, remarried after his first wife, Brielle, died and has been ruthless ever since. Jay receives the brunt of this and consequently lives a very isolated life, however he is Arthur's second in command and deeply respected (as well as feared).
