𝙷𝚒𝚜 𝚂𝚘 𝙲𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚍 𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚎𝚏 | Saiouma Phantom Thief AU

Chapter One!

A/N: So this is based off from a roleplay I did with a friend of mine which is set in a phantom thief AU, this is however the first time I have ever actually wrote a proper story as I am at the moment just doing the zodiac sign books. Please do not hate but I would love some feedback on how I could improve and such :)

Kokichi's POV:

22:30 pm on a Friday.
I just arrived at my new location, making sure no one was around, especially the owner of the establishment. Luckily no one was around and so it was time for me and DICE to break inside of the building. I immediately called my group over and told them to split up into a duo so that it'll be harder for them to get caught, as soon as everyone got paired, we all began smashing the window and prepared our bags, ready to take all of the expensive jewellery. Another Jewellery store being vandalised as they are commonly known to be robbed but I just couldn't help but take everything that My eyes saw. I made sure to grab as much as possible due to the alarm going off and the police will be alerted soon anyway and so I couldn't waste much more time, with all the energy I had left from going to place by place, I ran upstairs with a member from my group, splitting apart from the rest and ordered them to steal the valuable objects that were here whilst I was thinking of an escape plan to get away.

Not too long after, I managed to already thought of one however it'll mean that everyone else would have to leave before the cops did arrive, leaving only me behind as of course I wanted to play some little pranks on the police whilst the chase happened. What did I do next? I simply told my partner to notify others and one last time ordered them to leave immediately like always so there's a less of a chance of them getting caught. And to be fair, I  wouldn't really care nor even give zero fucks if I even got arrested, as long as my group isn't, then I wouldn't mind taking the risk and going behind the bars. Although, I slowly made my way to the rooftop meanwhile adjusting my  mask on to keep my beautiful face hidden as I couldn't just give away my identity like that as it is still unknown. Unfortunately I did almost get figured out one time but that's all In the past now, there is no way that my identity will be finally exposed, right?

As I continued on waiting for the police to arrive, I leaned against the rail, looking down on everyone. Suddenly my heart began beating fast the more I looked down, this never happened ever, so why is this happening now? A thief like me would never feel like this especially if I do this on a daily basis! Why am I feeling so anxious the more I look at it,? Never mind that, I turned my body around and took two steps forward, just in case if I fell. Now wouldn't that be a tragic story!
I took deep breaths in whilst the wind blew across my face, until I heard sudden footsteps, it was him, the one and only, Shuichi Saihara.

"My oh my! If it Isn't my favourite detective! I haven't seen you for soooo long! I was so bored and lonely,, I really did miss you Mr.Detetcive,! That was a lie of course! I don't actually care!" I snickered at the Detective's annoyed face, just seeing him acting like this always never failed me to crack a smile or even a laughter, I do wonder how long I can keep this up until this is all finally over.

"Quit fooling around you filthy thief.. I was honestly hoping to not even see you today. Either way you're cornered, surrender now! Violence will be involved if you do not cooperate this instant." Shuichi snarled at me which just got me even more excited by the fact that his tone is changing every second! This is probably the first time I've ever seen him this mad! How wonderful..

I shook my head and went back to focusing on the detective, after I remembered what he said I just simply couldn't help but let out a laugh, making Saihara slightly confused, perfect.
"Me? Cornered? Oh my! I don't think a detective like you even has the audacity to even say that I'm cornered! I'm sure you are well aware that I can just easily disappear in a blink of an eye, stupid! Man,,, And I thought you were smarter than that my beloved detective!"

As I was watching the Detective panic slightly as he could obviously tell I wasn't even cooperating, he was trying to get his gun out but whilst he was struggling, I proceeded to take couple steps back and look over the edge only to see my members all gathered up waiting for me to jump.
That's right, jump off! Probably the dumbest thing I ever thought of doing but it'll definitely work, and with that I got on top of the rail and just stood there and waited for Shuichi to look up again.

Shuichi's POV:

Beloved,? Did he just call me beloved,? Never mind that! I must arrest him and that's the last thing I will do. I shook my head and was slightly panicking, my heart was beating faster than usual after I got called by that Thief 'His beloved' what does he even mean by that! Even so, I tried to open the pocket to grab my gun, I ended up struggling with that too.

After some minutes of struggling I managed to grab my gun and looked up only to seeing the Thief on top of the rails. Is he that crazy?! I tried to run up to him to get him down before anything bad happens but within a blink of my eye, he was gone. I looked down only to seeing him falling and caught by his so called organisation. I stared down dumbfounded and let out a groan.

"I failed again! What kind of detective am I if I can't even get this thief caught?! What a stressful night..."

I turned my back around and slowly made my way out of the building, well knowing that the thief has yet again escaped, this is my fault for letting my guard down. If this continues I'll probably end up getting back up, maybe Kirigiri could help me out.
