"Glad that you came sky. I thought you will gonna ignore us again"

My mom speak while we're having a quiet dinner. The sounds of our movement is adding the suffocating air surrounded us. Added there fancy talks and staffs

Like what my dad says last week. My mom went back here in philippines for awhile. I don't know why but I just went here because I still want them to respect

"So what's the matter?"I broke the silent between our table

The table is huge for our three. I didn't even bother to eat the food on plate. Dad is also not eating, his just busy reading newspaper while sipping the coffee and my mom is just keep on slicing the steak but she didn't even took a bite even once

I crossed my arms over my chest and lean t the backrest of this chair while waiting for them to speak

She sighed before intertwined her hand and place it above the table while wearing a fake smile"I was planning on building another restaurant in Switzerland, sounds great right?"

The silent is so loud. She said that while smiling but she doesn't look proud and happy. She look at me and dad to see our reaction until she laugh

"I was expecting your reaction. Speechless? I know, I know."she even nodded, convincing herself before continue slicing her food

"Conggrats anyway"I told her, without changing my expression

She just smile but her gaze are not on me"how about you hon? What's the new?"

I sighed before taking a glance on my father who carefully place the cup of coffee back on the table then clear his throat

"I'm looking forward on running for presidential"

That made us stop. But we remained our blank emotion. Maybe our genes are really emotionless and it suck

He shrugged as if it's not a big deal to him"I think our country need a new leader with better plan and greatest invest"

"You already run for presidential before but you didn't won. What's the new of doing the same failure like before?"my mom said frankly and shrugged

He sarcastically chuckled and I saw how he grip the cup holder with gritted teeth"this time I'll make sure I will win, hon. And make sure also that your foundation of restaurant is way better than before to avoid some incident"

She giggled but I witness her tightening her hold on utensils building another level of tension between them

I bite my lower lips. If I just bring my camera with me I don't mind them at all. But I can't, sasamsamin lang nila kapag nakita nila ito baka nga sirain pa

"By the way I'm having another endorsement this year where's my congratulations?hmm?"

"Congratulation,"sabay naming saad ni dad

"And! I got promoted as a highest paid chef in Asia but don't bother to come on my receiving night you guys don't have too"she even gesture her hand and chuckled

"The senators are having a party for me just because I did very much well. I already told them that they don't need to effort but still,"napapailing pang kwento ni dad at mahina pang tumawa

"Also! the head chef told me that I'm almost reaching the rank as an chef. I didn't even notice that I've been working so hard gosh"mom added, like there was a competition she need to win with

Silent field the atmosphere again.

"I still have a meeting, I have to go"dad stood up and proceed from leaving without even saying good bye
