The wind blew mercilessly through the air, uprooting an entire tree and lifting it into the crimson sky. The sky was a crimson color with blood red rain drops falling from the black clouds. Mountains were crumbling like biscuits, yet still falling with weight that could disturbingly crush a person beyond recognition. The ground was shaking, cracking up at every spot, swallowing whatever lay in it's unyielding path. Stars were no longer beautiful, as they dropped from the sky at an insane speed, burning holes into the ground. The temperature rose and dropped every minute, it was hard to keep track of how cold or hot it actually was. The sun no longer shone proudly in the sky, but now hid behind the black ashy flakes of the sky.

This was it... this was the end...

Or so thought the seemingly pure young noble lady that had caused all this destruction. She was a lady of breathtakingly beautiful features, and of great status. Her hair was a gentle pink color, reaching a few inches below her waist. Her wicked eyes however, contradicted the soft gentle blue color they were. Her skin was fair and soft, littered with a few injuries that she didn't seem to care about. She stood there, on a pile of corpses and rubble, her beautiful dress torn and stained, with a very unsettling smile on her face.

She had won.

Little did she know, that a group of a few rebellious magicians had been one step ahead of her in their planning. Fleeing the country, and running to a small island in the middle of nowhere, the team was able to save their own lives. However, this was only just the beginning. For a few years to come, they'd have to survive all alone on the island. They weren't strong enough to fight the lady yet, and it was only a matter of time before she got to them. They had to stall for as long as possible and strengthen their magic. Unbeknownst to the group, only 2 years later, a young lady in their group would be able to find the weapon to defeating the manic evil young lady.

Thus, the magicians greatest weapon was unlocked. Time travel.

However, the lady's magic was only so strong as she was just a novice magician. Thus, her magic wasn't able to support the entire group time traveling. So, bidding her teammates a bittersweet farewell, she left all on her own, promising to return and rescue them soon. Disappearing into a magical portal, an important mission to alter the past and change the course of the future, awaited her. She'd probably never see a good future for herself. Her fate was already etched and sealed deep into the rubble that lay in her own reality. However, it was all so worth it, to pave a new better path for her younger self whom was way too naive to know of the dark future awaiting.

The young lady, only 20 years of age, set out on her Journey, not knowing of all the horrors and losses that awaited her.

"When did this all begin?"

The lady thought to herself as the magical force of the portal engulfed her.

"Ahh.. Perhaps it was when... I met him."

She closed her eyes, melting into the magic that was warping her reality. For a split second, she thought she was back in the past. She could see that day so vividly. Her memories of that day still lay fresh in her mind. Everything was so vivid, so clear. How could it not be when it was on that day that she met that man. The mysterious man who managed to change her for the better. The mysterious man who seemed to truly understand her heart and mind. That man who immediately burst into her sealed off heart, taking up every inch of space.

That man who was the love of her life.

As she relaxed more and more into the magical flow of the portal, she let her mind wander off back to that day. That distant day in spring, 6 years ago...

A/N: Hi! Sorry for the short chapter! I just wanted to get this story rolling first.

Anyways, if it wasn't clear enough, the girl talked about throughout this chapter is Penelope who is entering the portal to travel back in time. The evil young noble lady is Yvonne.

This story will obviously contain MAJOR SPOILERS from the novel, so read at your own risk.

I only have the rough storyline, so feel free to comment and I might take inspiration from your comments to alter the story or add a few things here and then. However, I will NOT be making any MAJOR changes to my already established rough storyline.
