Chapter 14

3rd person POV

As the sun started to move towards the late afternoon, the first-year class walked back into the castle. They now had a study period, so, they did absolutely no work. The Slytherins walked into the common room, the cold atmosphere being delightful after running in the intense afternoon heat. Some students went to their rooms to get sweets, chocolates and pastries to share. Others went into the storeroom to try to find bits and bobs to entertain themselves. many sprawled across the various couches, some sat in circles on the floor playing games. Only a select few did anything productive, but that was done with great resistance and distraction.

Pansy POV

I looked over at Aria, who was struggling to complete her homework, probably from transfiguration. Daphne was walking around the room, sharing some of her sticky toffee with anyone who wanted them. Y/N was lying upside-down over the arm of a black leather couch her head just touching the marble floor. I laughed. She was quite ridiculous like that, but it was all part of the fun. 

"Toffee?" Daphne said, her mouth stuffed.

"Yes, and can I get one for Y/N too?" I replied

"Sure!", she handed me two toffees, the brown paper (its baking paper) around them folded perfectly.

"Thanks."

I walked over to Y/N, unwrapping the toffee. I started to put my arm out to put it in her mouth, but one of her eyes opened, raised an eyebrow, then snatched it from me, shoving it in her mouth. She grinned.

"Thanks."

"Anytime!" I replied shocked but happy.

I looked around the room to see if anyone had seen what just happened, noticing a chuckling Zabini, who immediately turned his head away with embarrassment.

"Hey, Y/N?"

"Yes? Pansy"

"What kind of potions are you wanting to make for your store? I didn't hear that part of your conversation with Snape."

"I want to make appearance changing potions. Ones that grow your hair, change its colour, make you taller or shorter, even change your eye colour! In the muggle world, you get stuff that does the same thing, but it can be quite expensive, harmful or difficult to use."

"Wow, really?"

"Yep, hair extensions, plastic surgery, dyes and contacts."

"Dies? Do people die?"

"Not from that, silly, though plastic surgery can go very wrong. I want to make an easy and efficient way of doing it. From there, advertise it, then add clothing, then go worldwide! You, Daphne, and Aria would be a great help, but don't tell them yet. Anyways, I should write another letter back home."

"OK, see ya later!" I got up and left Y/N to it. She pulled herself up and quickly ran to get a bottle of 'Madame Madman's ever-changing drink'. 

Y/N POV

I opened my drink and took a sip. Apple Juice. I set it down on the table and opened my satchel, grabbed a piece of parchment and my snow quill. I now had to write my letter.

To Mom and Dad,

Hello! How are you doing? How is Ginny? I miss you lots, but I am having more fun here now. I am friends with two other girls my age in Slytherin, Daphne and Aria. I am also friends with Hermione and Harry, in Gryffindor. I hope Ron has already told you about them, they are really nice. I also met Ryū and Louise. They are 3rd-year twins, but are in different houses! I didn't know that could happen. It's nice because Louise is a Slytherin too. 

I got up, ran to Pansy, Daphne and Aria, asking if I could take photos with them. We all took separate photos then a group one. I jumped back onto my spot on the couch, finding a slightly annoyed Zabini sitting next to me.

"Taking photos without me?" He could barely hold his laugh in.

"Not anymore!" I faced the old camera towards us and smiled.

*Click!*

The brownish photo was printed, fluttering onto the floor. I picked it up, observing the two laughing figures in the photo. Looking at all the photos, I saw the friends that I made chatting, giggling and smiling, and Draco photobombing in the background. It made me happy. I turned each one over, labelling who was on each in order. I then continued to write the letter.

I am also friends with Blaise, he helped me on the first night. Draco is a bit weird, but Pansy likes him, so he can't be too bad. I have already done some potions with Professor Snape, Transfiguration with Professor McGonagall, and flying with Madame Hooch. It was all fun until we had to do the beep test (I think I told you what that was, Dad). It was too hot outside! Daphne also has an amazing recipe book that she let me copy from. I now have a sticky toffee recipe for school :) .
