When she got to the coordinates, she was surprised to find that a mountain was parked atop it. Mot was there, setting up a beacon with diamond blocks. She assumed they were protected by the gods to prevent theft, so didn't bother looking too much.

"So...did you want me to hollow the mountain out or level it?" she asked, kind of dreading it. Even with Efficiency 5, Haste 2, that was still a daunting task.

Mot looked up. "Hollow it out. It's plenty deep enough and there are a few caves which will make it easier for you. Beware of the cave spider spawners, though."

She detected an awkwardness in the message. "Did you find out the hard way how difficult they are to deal with?" she asked, knowing full well that the answer was yes as she'd seen a dozen "slain by cave spider" messages in chat.

"Maybe," he answered eventually. "Do you have the supplies?"

"Yes, I believe I have everything I need." She set down a dozen shulker boxes, each colored differently. She opened the first and he peeked in. "Two shulkers of nether quarts blocks, four boxes of warped forest goodies, nether wart, soul sand, and, in the last box," she said before opening it, "a full stack of iron blocks, specifically for buckets of lava."

"How much lava are you planning on using?"

"Well, the design I created calls for at least three fountains with one in the middle having four tiers with lava pouring down it. I was also thinking of creating a river of lava that follows the path so it would illuminate everything in a nice ambiance. Why?"

"Do you plan of ridding the Nether of lava?!"

"No, I have a lava farm."

"Lava...farm?" he asked, the others voiced their concerns from afar as well.

"Yeah, put lava on top of dripstone blocks and put a cauldron under it to catch the lava as it drips down. Fortunately doesn't destroy the block."

CaptainSparklez's concern came through in his "oh my god, don't tell tom!"

The others voiced their agreement.

SynHD replied to their concerns with an overly enthusiastic "too late!"

"Because I know how to do so," she said. "If anyone's house is 'mysteriously' filled with lava, it will be in retaliation for meanspirited pranks." She paused, thinking for a moment. "Or you did something to truly anger the gods."

"If anything else happens to my dog, I swear to Dianite I will burn this server to the ground!" SynHD declared.

With a very quick "LOL" from Mot, he resumed working on the beacon, put the beacon itself in place and activated it with Haste 2. DragonLover43 readied her two workhorse Efficiency 5 picks, each with mending and unbreaking 3, and started working on it. She spent three nights and four days hollowing everything out, Lady Ianite occasionally assisting by showering her with experience.

The first time it had happened she asked, "Thank you, my Lady. What will I owe you for this kindness?"

Ianite leaned in close and whispered, "Nothing. I simply wish to see my brothers happy."

Part way through the fifth day, when she ran back home to grab some more food, Dianite stopped her in the Nether. "I have a request," he said, a book and quill in his hand.

Even though she'd interacted with him numerous times, she still held a slight hesitation when dealing with him.
