"Let me think." Joey looked into her eyes as if she were hiding something. "Oh, okay um...take all the time you need." He stood there with his right hand resting on his elbow. "Katelien I love you!" She tried looked away, but he grabbed her shoulders "I thought you did too, remember?" Katelien grabbed her binder from her locker. She looked at him. He looked sleepless he had little dark marks under his eyes. He started to lean in.She hesitated, then turned her head. He pulled back "I see you're into Gabe." Katelien raised her voice "how do you know about him!?" He looked away this time "tell me when you've decided." And he walked away. She slammed her locker, and headed to class. Why is he acting like this? And how did he know about
Gabe? Her thoughts wandered as she walked to her class.
Katelien had her first class with Gabe he starred at her the whole period. After class, he walked up to her and grabbed her face. She was surprised "you're so pretty Katelien!" She blushed "thanks." She stood there for a minute feeling stupid, when he spoke up "if you're not busy,do you mind going to dinner with me tonight?" His face was rosy. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek "yeah pick me up at 7 o'clock." She picked up her books and walked out to her locker. Joey was waiting for her he pushed her into her locker and slapped her in the face "you little cheater!" Gabe ran over and punched him in the face (knocking him out). "Are you okay?" Katelien sighed with her face throbbing "yeah." A teacher walked over and took him to the office. Katelien watched him go down the hall and turn the corner when he was out of sight, she smiled. He had stuck up for her. She opened up her locker and put her books in, her next call was gym. As she walked down the hallway, she saw Gabe sitting in the office. He waved to her and smiled. She waved back and noticed Joey also sittimg in the office her had a napkin in his hand on his nose. What a day this has been.
