(The video is My inspiration. i found it back in my gacha phase which I have since left)

It was 2:45 am and Shoto was just relaxing on one of the couches in the common room. It was a loveseat chair facing the fireplace. Normally he didn't need to use the fireplace since fire quirk naturally produced heat, but he had been using too much of his Ice quirk so he was too cold to use it, and instead, he had resorted to lighting the fireplace.

He was completely curled up reading a book in the light of the fire. It was about a boy who had water powers and was friends with one of the smartest girls ever and a goat. It was a really good book.

He was so invested in learning about the Supreme Lord of the Bathroom, that he almost missed the soft footsteps.

They were unbelievably small and Shoto doubted it was a UA student. The steps sounded like the soft padding of a baby bear on the grassy floor.

Because of this analogy, Shoto immediately looked up in fear of a bear cub pouncing at him. Why you may ask. Well, let me tell you. Because that's how bad his luck was.

Luckily, this time it wasn't a bear. Instead, it was a young, pale blue-haired girl of 7. Her crimson red eyes flashed with fear, guilt and shame.

"Hey, Eri. What's wrong? Why are you up so late? You should be asleep." Shoto told the blunette.

Eri looked up. "Mr Todo-"

"Just call me Shoto, it's easier."

"Okay, Mr Shoto. I... Why are you up?" She countered.

Shoto didn't want to tell her about his trauma or night terrors so instead, he said: "I was too busy reading my book to keep an eye on the time, so I kept reading. What about you?"

She looked down again, embarrassed.
"I- I had a nightmare." She whispered in a way that would have been inaudible to anyone but Shoto.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.

Eri nodded. Shoto smiled and quickly looked down at his book, memorizing his page number. He then placed it gently on his chair, getting up and walking up to Eric, who clasped his hand tightly.

"Do you want to come to my room?" Shoto questioned inquisitively. Eri nodded again.

Shoto smiled one of his rare smiles and led Eri to his Japanese styled room.

"So pretty." She whispered in awe.
Shoto blushed.

He went to sit on his bed (i know he has a futon but we'll ignore that) and gestured for Eri to do the same. She obliged and sat down next to him.

Shoto tilted his head to the side.
"So what was your nightmare about?" He asked softly.

"Well- well... It was nothing. I'm just being a baby-"

Shoto cut her off. "And that's ok sometimes. You've been through a lot, so you're allowed to break down sometimes. Please just tell what it was about."

Eri bit her lip, a habit that both trauma induced children shared.

"Fine. I had- I had a nightmare that Mr Deku and Mr Eraserhead went on a mission. B- but then Mr Overhaul came. He- he t-tried to take me back but..." She paused as she tried to hold back tears. Shoto squeezed her hand gently to give her some comfort.

She took a deep breath as she continued. "Mr Deku and Mr Eraserhead tried to help me but... Mr- Mr Overhaul d-destroyed them. It-it was all my fault. If I had been stronger then- then they would still be here and-and-"

Shoto cut her off. "It's ok. They're still alive and doing well. Later on today in the morning, we can go and check on them, ok? Don't worry. And it's not your fault. You're very, very strong. For 4 years, you stayed with Overhaul. You are amazing Eri. Never forget that. " Shoto pulled her into a tight hug, which she instantly melted into.

"Do you want to sleep in my room today?" The half N half male asked.

Eri nodded into Shoto's chest, tears running down her face.

"Shhhh. Shhh. It's ok. You're really brave. You know that right?" Eri just sobbed. Shoto realized that she want to go to stop any time soon. He sighed.

He inched back a little so he could less against the headrest. He held her as she cried, whispering soft, comforting words.

Around 10 minutes later, Eri had calmed down. The young girl yawned, struggling to stay awake.

Noticing this, Shoto smiled.

"If you want, you can go to sleep now. Just lay down on me. Relax." He spoke softly, so not to scare the crimson eyed girl.

Eri nodded, settling down on shoto to be more comfortable.

She sighed contently before bolting up.

"Is there something wrong Eri?" Shoto asked.

Eri blushed a light pink. "C-can you sing for me? When I was younger, I remember my dad used to sing songs for me. It would stop me from having bad dreams. There was also another girl when I was with Mr Overhaul. She would sing for me to stop me from having nightmares. Can-can you sing for me?"

Shoto was a little surprised at this new knowledge. He was a little bit embarrassed.

"S-sure Eri. As long as you don't tell anyone about it, okay." Eri nodded happily, moving so she could look at Shoto.

Shoto sighed. He opened his mouth and started to sing.

"But you'll never be alone
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn

Shoto felt tears prick at his eyes as he sang his special song.
Baby, I am right here
"Touya-nii, where are you going?"

I'll hold you when things go wrong
"Just on a walk. Don't worry if I don't come back. "

I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
"But the sir said not to leave"

I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
"It's ok. Just... Just make sure you never forget me or our secret song"

Baby, I am right here"
"Why would I forget you?"

I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
"Just promise me"

Baby, I am right here
"... I promise "

Eri was in awe of the older male's beautiful voice. As he sang, she noticed a few tears falling. She immediately brushed them away.

She knew better than to ask about the tears, at least yet. For now, she would focus on his voice.

She slowly felt herself losing consciousness and the last thing she heard was:

Baby, I am right here
