After they were done with their gelato, Maria's dad calls to her "Amore, it's time to do the deliveries!" She remembered that she has a job to do, which was delivering baked goods to houses. She sprung up and said "shoot! I forgot that my dad said after I give you guys a tour, I had to go and do my job." Then she gets an idea, and turns to them and said "hey maybe you guys can help me?" They stare at her confused and Guido asks "sorry what's a job again?" Maria is baffled at what he said, But she tries to be nice and explains what a job is."A job is where adults do a certain task like making bread, selling gelato, etc." she continues "and they get paid "i soldi," (money) and they could buy what ever they want." After she was done explaining she offers them the help. They were hesitant at first, but they figured they could use it as a way to distract them from what happened earlier. So they agreed and Maria said "great! I'll just let my papa know, and we could get started." She went to her house to tell him, and Ercole and his friends were by themselves again. Ciccio then asked "how in the world did that land monster know our secret?" Guido and Ercole look at each other, having no clue either, "I..I don't know" Ercole said and why Luca said to him only "see you soon..." thankfully Maria comes back with a basket full of bread, and other items and it was time to go to work. Before they leave, she tells them how they were gonna do it "So, what you have to do is hold this basket, knock on the door, and give the costumers their order. When they give you the money, always say thank you, oh and put it in here." She holds out a tip jar which already had money inside. Guido asks "what is that for?" She looks at it "oh this? This is for me, I mostly get all the tips I plan on going to art school one day, that's the dream and smiles at the thought. "Alright, you guys ready?" All three nod their heads and off they went to work a human job for the first time. It was hard at first, but they got the hang of it at the end, received a lot of tips, and was surprisingly fun.
